Reviews for Olinda Tea House

Had the high tea menu, but it was disappointment. The savoury options were really good. However, the sweets did not hit the spot. I guess it is more ascetic compared to the food quality. The tea options were nice and refreshing. The service was really good as well.

This is a very stunning area. There is seating inside and outside. We booked a 1pm high tea session. You get 2 drinks and 4 savouries and a selection of sweets each. Highly recommend the Arancini, Bouchees and Animal Mousse cakes. Excellent and friendly table service. They bring you cutlery and clean plates as well as water refills. I will say if you are sitting outside it does get cold. They have cafe blinds and heaters by the looks of it but better to wear extra layers if this is the experience you booked. Beautiful views here. Lots of photo ops.

Beautiful grounds and garden with little nooks to create the perfect wedding function setting. Staff were friendly and helpful when I came mid afternoon on a Thursday. I had a pot of English breakfast tea and matcha mousse. I saw 2 friendly alpacas. The rhododendrons were in bloom.

Pleasant Chinese food, especially the dumplings, but not quite 5 star worthy. The building and gardens are really nice. A great wedding or function venue. The high tea looked nice as well. Service was prompt and tea refills were plentiful, as they should be. We sat near the gas fireplace which was a bonus. Save some time for a look around. Reservations recommended for weekend lunch.

I think I’ve found the prettiest restaurant in Melbourne! Nestled in the heart of the stunning Dandenong Ranges, this contemporary modern Asian fusion spot offers lunch and dinner and is famous for its signature High Tea. Surrounded by 17 acres of mountain ash forests and historic flower gardens, it’s the perfect place to unwind. We opted for the à la carte menu this time, and the dining experience was truly exceptional. The portion sizes were top-notch. The crispy fried chicken with peanut and chili was incredible—perfectly spicy and incredibly crispy. The pan-fried honey soy eye fillet cubes were tender and juicy, making each bite delightful. Their desserts were equally impressive. The piggy cake was particularly charming—adorable and not overly sweet. Everything was a 10/10. Plus, they have alpacas, and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking.
