If you’re in Melbourne, you absolutely must visit this hidden gem! As a local from Tasmania, I stumbled upon this exciting spot in the Melbourne CBD, and it’s a well-kept secret that I’m thrilled to have discovered. My partner and I booked the Couples Date Night Session ($129), which included an hour of axe throwing with thorough training and safety instructions from our amazing Axepert, Tee. The session also came with a pizza and two drinks—either beer, wine, or soft drinks. We arrived a little early for our 1 pm booking (around 12:40 pm), but the staff was incredibly accommodating and got us started ahead of schedule. Tee was outstanding throughout the experience, helping us select a pizza and explaining the different ways we could enjoy the session, from when to eat to the various games we could play. Her expertise in axe throwing was truly impressive—she made hitting the bullseye look effortless! After our throwing session, we enjoyed our two drinks, served by the lovely Natasha. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations to suit our preferences. Overall, the experience at Maniax Axe Throwing Melbourne was fantastic, and I can't thank the team enough for making it such a memorable outing. Highly recommended!
The Mog Champ
The Mog Champ sends his regards. First time trying axe throwing and it was more enjoyable than expected! It's not that difficult to throw and the initial instructions and demonstrations were quick and simple. For one hour of unlimited throwing, it's not too bad especially when they say each lane maxes at 3 people. Three different types of axes to use from and the small one-hand precision axe was the most challenging to use! It was a good time in general. Awesome fun. Fantastic spot for team activities and bonding. Riley was a boss instructor - very easy going and did a great job explaining the rules and techniques. Would definitely visit again!

This was fun plus learning experience. Not like other activities, this one requires strength, focus and ofcourse good company to aim right! Very nice place to hangout in cbd. For sure not for everyone but I would recommend to experience atleast once. I am coming back here to practice more and have fun!

Today Our head office team had an incredible time at an axe-throwing event, and it was an absolute blast! From the moment we arrived, the Luke and James made us feel welcome and provided thorough safety instructions. The atmosphere was energetic and fun, which really got everyone in the spirit of friendly competition. Our instructor James was fantastic —engaging, patient, and full of tips that helped even the beginners hit the target. By the end of the session, we were all cheering each other on and feeling accomplished with our newly discovered axe-throwing skills. This event was a perfect way to bond with colleagues, unwind, and enjoy some healthy competition. We left feeling energized and closer as a team. Highly recommend for any group looking for a unique and exciting experience!!
