Reviews for Saint Kilda Beach Hotel

Not very happy. First of all didn't know about the price of the parking till we got there. $35 a night.. then the air conditioner didn't work properly on and off all night. The hot water was not going? Luke warm shower. Then went to have a coffee in the morning and breakfast. Coffee was great .. but got our breakfast order wrong and those horrible chairs are so uncomfortable like wire. Then noticed heaps of dust in front of the coffee machine and the shelf as seen in the picture.. Look the location is fantastic.. they were very nice people at the reception. But when we did say something nothing was done. A bit disappointed ☹️

Lovely place to spend quality time at, staffs are very helpful and rooms are well maintained. It's located at lovely beach location with trams connecting to city stopping next to the hotel. Highly recommended.

I’m giving 5 stars because with the bad reviews I wasn’t expecting much. Standouts was the soundproofing on street rooms. Really good We had great coffee in the cafe downstairs with delightful service. The food I saw going out looked fine but probably not the most innovative cuisine you’ll find in St Kilda. Location amazing. Yes the parking is tight and expensive but better than not having parking like some hotels. All up was a pleasant surprise. I like the hall lights go out when no one around and come on with activity. More hotels should be this pro active with power waste that is very high in hotels generally Well done 👍

My wife and I read so many reviews giving this place a bit of a bad reputation. Our experience (thankfully) was nothing like what we had read online. The service staff were lovely, friendly and always made sure to greet us whenever we entered/exited the building. Our room was upgraded from a twin bedroom to a queen bedroom due a booking error made on our part for no additional charge. Amenities were clean and tidy and the place smelled nice, apart from the slow elevator there really isn’t anything wrong with this hotel, great location and a wide variety of restaurants and bars to explore at night and so close to public transport to travel elsewhere this place is a great destination for tourists to Melbourne.

I really enjoyed my stay at the St Kilda Beach Hotel. The location is superb - 5 minutes walk to beach - 2 minutes walk to tram -walking distance to all St Kilda has to offer. The staff were friendly and professional. The room was lovely and clean, the bed was comfortable. There were lovely trees outside my window. Free coffee voucher for the cafe which served the most delicious scrambled eggs, roast cherry tomatoes and mushrooms. The hotel felt very secure with keycard access required for front door after 7pm and for lifts. There is a little outdoor area on the top floor which I took advantage of to view the sunrise. You can also see part of the city skyline from there. I loved the lifts which is a strange thing for a claustrophobic person to say but lift 1 is a very cleverly designed illusion when it opens of St Kilda pier which made the lift seem larger than it was. From curiosity I had to check out lift 2 and laughed when it opened to show the entrance to Luna Park. Thanks for a lovely experience.
