Very highly recommended, very central to great restaurants and central Melbourne attractions. A real boutique hotel with style, character and special touches that make the stay great. All the staff were fantastically friendly and helpful starting with the great Jimmy who checked us in a 2 in the morning after our Qantas flight was repeatedly delayed! The beds and pillows are some of the best. Soft and comfortable. The free in room drinks and snacks and free breakfast pastries and good coffee make you feel special and welcome. The only negatives are it is central city so the room looks out onto an ally and it is a bit noisy at night. A highly recommended hotel.

A funky hotel with really nice staff and a convenient location. Felt welcome from the moment I walked in. The staff had my room made ready early (as I arrived on an early flight), offered a coffee and pastry on arrival plus were happy to lend an umbrella when heading out in the rain. A surprise small bottle of sherry was a nice touch. Despite the Melbourne weather, the roof top pool was great.

Update: Added a couple of stars back as Dion (GM) has reached out and rectified the two issues, thanks. We will be going back! -- Entertainment system didn't work while we were there. No movies. Person came to room to reset everything, still didn't work. Back end system reset, still didn't work. Gave up at that point. You expect better when you book their best room. Pool heater wasn't working - freezing. Staff friendly and otherwise was great. Wouldn't go back until the above issues are fixed, however.
