Reviews for Melbourne Cricket Ground

The Melbourne Cricket Ground is an absolute must visit, whether you're a cricket fan or not. The sheer size, history, and atmosphere of the stadium are incredible, and the guided tour is well worth it. Walking through the players' areas, the Long Room, the iconic stands, and learning about the rich sporting history of Australia made for a memorable experience. One of the most emotional parts of the visit was the Shane Warne memorial. Seeing the heartfelt dedications from his children was incredibly touching and a beautiful tribute to one of cricket's greatest legends. It added a deeply personal and emotional dimension to the visit that we won't forget. The Australian Sports Museum is an excellent addition to the visit. The interactive games area is great fun for both children and adults, giving everyone the chance to test their sporting skills and making the experience much more engaging than a traditional museum. If you're driving, it's worth planning your parking in advance. Parking around the MCG can be expensive and fills up quickly on event days, so arriving early is a good idea. Public transport is also an excellent option, with tram and train stops just a short walk from the stadium. Wear comfortable walking shoes, as there is a lot to see, and allow at least three to four hours if you're planning to do both the stadium tour and the Australian Sports Museum. The MCG is more than just a cricket ground. It's a place where sporting history comes alive, and it's an unforgettable experience for visitors to Melbourne.

We watched an exciting Australian football game at this stadium, and it was a fantastic experience. The stadium is in a great location, close to the city centre, making it very easy to get to. The atmosphere was amazing and I highly recommend it if you’re visiting Melbourne.

My recent visit to the Melbourne Cricket Ground was truly unforgettable! 🤩 The atmosphere was electric, and seeing the legendary MS Dhoni in action was an absolute highlight. 🏏 The energy of the crowd, combined with the thrill of the game, made for an incredible experience. This iconic stadium never disappoints! 🏟️

Brilliant stadium, crazy how many people can fit in this place. We had the little one with us and staff were more than happy to help. So kind and friendly. Brilliant parents room. And pram storage. Food and drink easy to access too.

MCG Great experience, felt like a dream if you’re into sports at all. Place is — super well done, fun to walk through, and loaded with Aussie sports history. Also has interactive games. Cricket + AFL fans will be in heaven. There’s a 75 mins guided tour , Old-school heritage mixed with nostalgia and hands-on stuff = perfect combo. 100% worth it if you’re in Melbourne. Goooo.

The Olympic Room is arguably the MCG’s most versatile function space. It can be divided into two or used as one large space. As one of the MCG’s largest rooms, it offers more than a venue for your next conference or special event – it offers a quintessential Melbourne experience. Inside the Olympic Room guests will be inspired by magnificent views of Yarra Park on one side, and the hallowed turf on the other. The room’s fresh modern design is complimented by an abundance of natural light.
