I booked a table in advanced for myself as I’m a solo traveler. They gave me a table in the middle, so I asked to move to a table with a view. The waitress said they were fully booked even if the place was more than half empty. Then she suggested a table at the sun so I took the table beside it with a stripe of shade. Nobody came to take my order at the table and the app didn’t work for me because my number is from another country and I didn’t receive a text message for the confirmation (to much bureaucracy to eat) so I ordered at the bar. The waitress charged 26 dollars for a Burrito that should cost 16 according to the menu, so I had to complain about it. The staff are not very welcoming, the roof top has a view to the House of Parliament but not a city view as it’s on the second floor. It’s not allowed to smoke even at the open spaces. The atmosphere is not nice, music is not nice, they were playing some metal rock and only two waitresses working, so the service is slow. When she brought my food to the table, I asked for cutlery and she told me to take from the next table myself and said they don’t do table service and that I should order from the app. Ordering cutlery from the app? Really?

I didn’t try the food as I was put off as soon as I walked in. The downstairs was filled with empty plates/ food on every table. The smell also reflected the state of the place. Long wait for drinks due to lack of (a) bartender(s) also.

Service was great, sadly food was below average, calamari desperately underseasoned & Hawaiian parma just was a cooked parma with cold pineapple dumped on it (they reheated it once requested). On top of that the prices are extortionate not sure how they justify charging over $10 for a pint of pot-mix. Avoid

The Imperial Hotel Rooftop is the ultimate spot to catch all the Australian Open action! 🎾✨ The massive screens make it feel like you’re right at Melbourne Park, but with the added bonus of stunning CBD skyline views 🌆 The atmosphere is buzzing with summer vibes, and the food and drink options are top-notch. What we had: 🌽 Corn & Jalapeño Croquettes – $18 🍝 Chilli Prawn & Chorizo Linguini – $32 🐟 Barramundi – $36 🍺 Canadian Club & Dry Pint – $19 🍹 Aperol Spritz – $15 Plus, $14 schooners of CC & Dry (via The Pass App) make it an absolute steal for drinks🍻 Whether you’re there for the tennis or just the rooftop vibes, this is the place to be. Highly recommend for a fun summer outing!

2025: I seem to be on a parma streak, this one's from the city. Slight twist to the salad, just a simple rocket medley here. It's also $18 for a pint of Stone & Wood now. ****
