Poor quality room service and food service. The restaurant and bar closes very early and I was unable to purchase a packet of chips due to the ‘restaurant being closed’ and the night prior my dinner was delivered cold. I would recommend dining elsewhere if you’re staying at the hotel.

I have had the pleasure of staying at this location twice for business travel and I would gladly book here again without any hesitation. Location: positioned seconds away from a tram stop that will take you directly into Melbourne. There are bicycles for you to use if you would like to enjoy all the trails along the Yarra river or you could simply take a walk outside and relax in the park just across the street from the hotel. Staff: The people who work at this establishment are exemplary. I can not think of a single interaction the entire time I spent at this establishment that was anywhere below perfect. They are knowledgeable, courteous and always available when assistance is needed. Property: Coming back to the Element every day after meetings and training was a pleasure. It's quiet location and welcoming staff made the need for travel away from family for extended periods of time, much more satisfactory. The rooms are very comfortable with plenty of amenities and any needs that might not have been present in the room were met by the staff if possible. Overall, I would highly recommend this property without a second thought. Thank you to everyone who worked there during my stays, you made it what it was.

This hotel is truly wonderful, it is so thoughtfully designed and so clean, airy and comfy. Staff was exceptional and really took seriously my allergy and requests. The hotel is in a quiet and nice neighbourhood and it's very easy to reach the centre on the tram. I will definitely go there when I'm back in Melbourne.

Location was perfect for a function we had. Room was well presented and clean. Shower was amazing, lots of hot water and pressure. Bed was large and comfortable. All the amenities we needed - iron, hair-dryer etc. Didn't use any of the hotels other facilities. Would stay again.

Unfortunately I had a bad experience at this hotel. I had booked for three nights, but checked out after only one night. The reception and other service staff were fantastic. The reason I left the hotel was that the Duty Manager explained to me while I was sitting quietly reading in their library area with my little dog snoozing on the floor, that dogs were not allowed in the public areas. He said that this was a directive of the local Yarra City Council. I realise and know that dogs are not allowed in the restaurant areas but the Element’s rules are not welcoming. To eat outside in the courtyard, where it can be cold, or in my room did not make for a pleasant stay. By the time I got to my room the meal was cold. I felt unwelcome at the Element so booked into another Marriott hotel, where the staff went out of their way to welcome me and my little dog. They provided a suitable area, not in the restaurant, where I could have my meals in comfort and have my dog with me. Supposedly the Element is dog friendly but only if you want remain in your room or outside! Not allowing your dog in public areas is certainly dog friendly…
