Old and quiet hotel, with great location on Yarra river. The room is old, with old arrangement. You can't easily find power plug to charge your gadget by bedside. And the shower place has odd design, making water flowing to all bathroom. Other than these above shortcomings, everything else is very good. Even thou the hotel is old, they do maintain it quite well. The hotel also is quiet, suitable for you to find good night rest. There are also plenty of restaurants and bars around the hotel. And 1 - 2 blocks away from tram and train station. Overall, good hotel to stay.

Exceptional Service and Repeat Excellence at Quay West Melbourne I've had the pleasure of staying at Quay West Melbourne four to five times in the past 12 months, and each experience has been nothing short of exceptional. The standout feature of my stays has undoubtedly been the outstanding service provided by the staff, with special mention to Malcolm. From the moment I arrive, I'm greeted with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. the entire team go above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my visit exceeds expectations. Whether it's assisting with requests, providing local recommendations, or simply offering a friendly smile, their dedication to customer satisfaction is evident in every interaction. The accommodations themselves are top-notch, combining modern amenities with stylish design elements to create a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and meticulously maintained, offering a relaxing retreat after a day of exploring the vibrant city of Melbourne. Ridiculously overpriced for what you get - I stayed here because I attended an event at the Arts Centre. If you need to do something up this end of town, maybe it's worth considering but also consider... The breakfast selection is measly in comparison to others available at hotels throughout the city. The dinners are very Aussie pub, complete with slatherings of tomato sauce straight out of the supermarket bought bottle. Chocolate fondant is bitter and far too much sugar in the apple and rhubarb crumble. At breakfast, my young child was actively bullied by a grown man who was also staying at the hotel. The TV works intermittently and turns off several times if you try to watch a movie, you have to turn it on and off at the wall. The internet is no better. But the staff are always smiling and quite hospitable. The mineral pool and spa are amazing and we've only seen one other person in the gym during our time using that space. Oh, and the car parking which costs something like $30 per day is so scary to drive in to... wow! I don't know how I'm going to go getting out of there. When I left and was ready to swipe my card for the final payment, they told me this was unnecessary as they had saved my card into their system without my permission. After leaving and I had settled the bill, they have charged another payment to my card. I have read other reviews on here about things being stolen from rooms and this makes me think I can't trust them as far as I could throw them.

Terrific. We had a 3 bedroom unit which was amazing, views of the river and CBD great. Breakfast was really good, lots of options for hot and cold breakfast. Housekeeping was great, couldn't ask for more. Front desk was friendly and professional.

Staff at reception were friendly and helpful. We also got an upgraded room which we were grateful for. Breakfast was delicious every morning during our stay and the location was excellent for our trip.
