We stopped in at Mr Hobsons while waiting to board a cruise. The location is in close proximity to station pier, making it an ideal location to grab a drink while you wait. We requested a coffee and an apple juice. Disappointingly, they did not have apple juice, so we had to make do with orange juice. Given that the location is at the port and you rely on the trade of cruise passengers, it is a bit surprising that stock is not arranged for delivery to align with what will be peak trade periods. The seating is predominately in the shade, but there are sections that are exposed to full sun.

Beautiful waterfront restaurant, the only one that's running now coz the others are under Reno. Nice large seating inside and a few tables outside. Just had a coffee and a sausage roll but wandered around a bit. The girls at the counter were really friendly and welcoming.

I've been here a few times. My previous visits were okay. Not sure if new owners have taken over. They don't sell mineral water so had to settle for tap water. It would be fine but I had to ask for it 3 times and when it finally arrived, there were particles in it. I ordered an iced coffee. It was only available in one size which is considered medium. I requested soy milk. Including card surcharge, it cost $10.18. HOW??? Ice, shot of coffee, soy milk. No syrup. Mcdonald's make a far superior coffee to you. Surfaces were not clean. Only redeeming quality of this establishment are the views. Not enough of an incentive for me to be back.

Booked online, but they clearly had no record of it, (but wasn't a drama). Food was nice but forgot one of our dishes. No toilet paper in the toilets! No lights so could barely see. It was still nice but could have been better. Had to find staff to assist a few times. Staff were really lovely and had a nice time here overall

Not sure what's happened but maybe new management (read mis-management or amateurs in the industry) has cheapened how it feels eating at this place. Public holiday, sunny warm day and it was virtually empty. Understandable. Food quality is poor and expensive and they don't stock everything in the menu. Why are they always out of milkshakes! Sandwich I got would've been Maccas standard. Disappointing to say the least, just avoid this place until it changes for the better. Once other places under renovation finally open this place will either go bankrupt or be forced to stop being so disorganised and cheap and employ a better business model. The staff try hard, you can see this. The lady at the desk is trying but I could see her frustration too. Sink ship. Another good thing that came to an end.
