All staff were welcoming, extremely helpful and positive great energy. The room was peaceful, perfect room temperature, comfortable, cozy and I had a relaxing, well rested night sleep. Housekeeping always have a wonderful, happy smile and attitude. I will keep on staying at this well located, great atmosphere and fantastic service Hotel.

I stay at The Como every time I come to Melbourne for business. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are spacious and well designed, I have been happy with my room every time I have visited. The last time I visited I was lucky enough to stay in the Gold Suite, the piano was such a surprise! Thank you for making my visits to Melbourne for work so enjoyable!

My room was spacious and very clean; bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was well lit with more than ample space. Loved the plush robe and slippers to use while a guest. The room layout however was odd, with the desk/work area right next to wardrobes, and the coffee station & minibar on another desk. Wonderful quality Teas, thank you; the Nespresso coffee maker however did not function for me which was disappointing as I am primarily a coffee drinker. I did enjoy the coffee available in the lobby, which was very nice, but not the same as waking and having it in your room! Hotel Staff was polite, friendly and accomodating at every interaction! My only complaint would be that there was absolutely NO BAR to have a drink at the end of the day! And the restaurant served only breakfast....room service in the evening was the only option if I didn't want to go out.

We were lucky to be upgraded to a better room which was wonderful but the hotel is starting to look a bit dated. We had breakfast on both days and it was really good quality and good variety of food. I thought the beds and pillows were excellent and had the best sleep. It could be a 10/10 for me if the Como had a bit of a make over but still great and a reliable and consistent experience.

We checked in late and were put in a room on the top floor. The air conditioning made the room sound like a railway station. The next day we were moved to another room, and offered a complimentary breakfast. This room was quieter, but the tired. The breakfast was the worst we have had in any hotel. Thankfully I was not paying for it. The fruit was old, bananas yellow and spotted. I asked for eggs sunny side up and received the burned around the edges and the yolk was hard. The bacon was like brittle plastic. On checking out I noticed that there was $153 of mini bar extras on by bill. This was taken off, but it took the receptionist nearly 1 hour to sort out my bill, because I was moved to another room and the booking was prepaid. All in all, I would be reluctant to book into the Como again.
