Reviews for Victoria Hotel Melbourne

Our family stayed at this hotel for four days starting on Christmas Day. We were able to get into the room early, which was greatly appreciated since we had just gotten off a 15 hour flight. Room was clean, plenty of toiletries, and spacious enough for a family of four. Only issue, minor in my opinion, is that the bathroom sink drained very slowly, probably needed cleaned out. Breakfast buffet at the restaurant next door is worth the extra money up front. Would recommend!

My mate and I have been visiting Australia from New Zealand and thought we would stay here for 4 nights while in Melbourne. What a joke/disappointment this place was. One of the worst hotels I have ever been to. Bathroom was moldy and I got hives from their bedsheets during the first night(my mate also complained that he felt a bit itchy after lying on the bed. We have photo evidence of my hives and my mate showed one of the photos to the reception). The hotel manager came to our room and acted quite defensive and passive aggressive towards my mate the following morning. It came across as if he was blaming us and this was our fault. We were very tired so didn't want to make a big fuss out of this. I never experienced anything like this during my overseas travels(hostels/backpackers provide better services than this). Left this place with a sour taste in my mouth. We changed to another hotel in the same area and it was so much better. Definitely wouldn't return again.

The room was ok in terms of space and overall quality of bedding/sleep. Unfortunately it was not clean to an extent that we didn’t feel comfortable letting the kids play on the floor. Front desk team was responsive and willing to find ways to compensate for the bad experience. On checkout day, we wanted to try breakfast and were informed about pricing from the front desk agent. Once at the restaurant (10 metres away) we were asked for a different (higher) amount and decided to just go to the cheaper bar on the opposite side of the road. Location is perfect for visiting Melbourne. Overall I believe for a similar pricing you can find better options in the neighbourhood.

Room was a decent size, just nice for a single person, might be a bit tight for 2. Comfortable bed. The rooms layout is a bit of a maze especially if you get a room further from the lifts and have to drag your luggage through the labyrinth. Other than that, all is good.

A cosy stylish hotel. Allowed us to check in as our room was ready. Had a quiet room near the lift. Small room but just nice for 2 people. Mini fridge, kettle with coffee & tea available. Toiletries available in shower and basin. There’s a gym, pool and sauna too. Paid for parking just 1m from the hotel and gated. Staff ready to help when required. Enjoyed our stay and definitely would come back again. If we stay longer we would try breakfast at hotel too. Next time.
