This is a great hotel that is just around the corner from the aquarium and a half block away from southern cross station. The rooms are super spacious with floor to ceiling, wall to wall windows. The showers are huge. What makes this hotel great are what's beyond the room...namely the restaurant and the pool. The food at the restaurant is stellar, very flavorful, and portion size tends to be on the larger side of things. I can't say enough good things about the food, staff, and how it all comes together. The pool space is like no other in the city. Although there is no hot tub, the pool temperature is kept warm. Sitting around the pool in low light on one of the lounge mats is completely relaxing. On weekends, they have a huge TV in the pool area for playing movies for kids, which is a nice touch.

Stayed for a weekend in Melbourne. Great location and in walking distance to most attractions. The bar/restaurant on the 25th floor was the hidden gem and with happy hour from 3 to 6pm daily was hard to avoid. Really well laid our gym and indoor heated pool. The room we stayed in was well appointed, would highly recommend!

Recently, I visited for breakfast with my friend who was staying at the Hyatt Centric on June 23rd. It was one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had at any establishment. The entire operation seemed chaotic and in desperate need of better management. People were lined up for seats, yet the manager was merely pretending to polish glasses. He stood there for 20 minutes doing nothing productive before leaving, despite the guests waiting. Meanwhile, the host and a Korean girl were working tirelessly to accommodate guests, doing their best under the circumstances. The staff appeared to be giving their all, but it was clear they were suffering from a severe lack of leadership. This venue is plagued by mismanagement, bullying, and ignorance. It was disheartening to witness such hardworking employees left to fend for themselves under poor supervision. It seems like the manager only works for his boss, who might be a family member or partner. This is a workplace, not a candy shop, and such favoritism is unacceptable. As a restaurant owner myself, I can confidently say that this manager is not fit for the role and is detrimental to the business. This hotel seems to have a poor hiring management system, and immediate action is needed to address these issues and provide the staff with the support they deserve. I assumed this restaurant wont be great with that guy.

10/10! I would definitely recommend the Hyatt Centric to anyone looking for great accommodation in Melbourne. From the moment we arrived the service was excellent, each staff member was friendly and very prompt. We chose to self park and the parking was a few minutes walk but no hassle, they also have vouchers for the parking so not expensive at all. The rooms were lovely, clean and modern. The coffee in the lobby was also great. We requested a few extra towels and within 10 minutes they were brought to our room. The restaurant upstairs is also great, once again the service was friendly and the view and food made it an excellent experience. I have stayed in many hotels across the world, but this was definitely one of my favourites. The only slight negative was that the walls were a bit thin and we could hear people in the hallway at night and the people next door's alarm every morning but it wasn't a big problem. Well done Hyatt Centric - we will be back!

I love staying here! This is my third stay for work. The location is perfect, lots of great restaurants and brunch places nearby. The staff are super welcoming and helpful. Rooms are spacious with all the facilities you would expect and more (coffee, water, bathroom amenities) I’ll be back again soon!
