Resort is in a great spot and has a good layout and amenities on site. Service was excellent and check in was a smooth process. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment which was nicely furnished, spacious and clean. They even had pretty good waste management with compost and recycling options. 😊

Stayed overnight from Adelaide. The owner was so accommodating and really went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. We arrived late, resort was easy to find, room was comfortable, modern with all the facilities we needed. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. I would highly recommend to stay here.

My colleagues and I recently completed a leadership program with Leaders in the Wild and as part of this program, stayed at the Great Ocean Road Resort. The resort had amazing facilities and the dinner we had at the restaurant was outstanding and the service was impeccable. Upon checkin, we were given the room key and were advised that breakfast was already ‘in the room’ - a brown bag with a loaf of bread and jam , bread not wrapped, dumped in a bag with two packs of butter (again, in 20+ degrees, outside fridge) completely not hygenic. The bedding was off white, and the ‘fitted’ sheet was creased and had hairs on, in a clear sign that either the bed had been slept in, or the laundry was done improperly. The in-room fridgewas not cleaned and also contained hairs. It was hard to understand how this establishment can be considered a ‘resort’. We forfeited the room and were made to pay anyway. The answer from the reception staff was to offer to change the room on the spot, which we did decline at our own risk, considering the severity of hygene issues. There was no acknowledgement of the mistake, and creasing was deemed to be a normal ‘fitted’ sheet, and not a substandard way to prepare a room for a new guest!!

We had really bad experience with our stay after being in RACV hotel. The price here looks premium but it’s not even one start. We have to be in one of the room with stairs where there is no safety gate to stop kids from falling down. We have raised this concern with the hotel staff with no actual solution. Also the room was a kind of jail where the window was facing our neighbours window with no privacy so we had to keep the blind down at all the time. The room cleanliness was poor with smelly pillow and blanket, one towel has stain, found some insect inside the room. The place is not recommended at all.
