We had an awful experience using booking.com but the amazing staff was able to turn into a positive one. Aachal and Daisy gave us the same price as our original booking and upgraded us to a better room. The location is great for anything like the aquarium and museums. My partner got a little sick from our travels and they happily gave us a late check out. Will highly recommend staying here as long as you don't book through booking.com

Good point 1. Location - This hotel is just on the other side of Flinders station, at the very end of CBD South area, pretty much easy to get around. 2. Staff - All crew were kind and welcoming with smile, especially the Korean staff was really helping. She deserves a big applause. Debatable 1. Room amenities - They were just fine but no complimentary toothpaste and toothbrush. 2. Space - The room was a bit small, not enough for getting stuff out from a luggage carrier. Bad point 1. Soundproof - I literally could hear everything from the other rooms around. 2. Toilet and bath - Shower space was half-opened and shared with toilet area, which means you have to deal with wet flooded floor when you want to use toilet after shower. 3. Room cleaning - I'm very sensitive to dust and I couldn't stop sneezing very often during the whole stay. and the worst part was toilet. I was disgusted from a bad smell of yellow smudge stain since I got into the room. (See the attached photo)

Think there are 2 wings, (renovated /old). Room I got is renovated, room size is small but functional. Wall is thin, you can hear conversations and footsteps outside your door. The black out curtains was not well installed, as light would leak from the sides as well as the center.

The location was perfect, the lobby was perfect, the staff was super polite and nice. The breakfast was the best we had in Australia. However the rooms were very small, the bathroom was tiny, there was a view on a wall, and it did not smell too good in bathroom. So, if you want to have a base to get out immediately - good place to stay. But if you plan to stay a bit longer in the room, there are better places for that price.
