Five stars simply because the location is fabulous! The hotel is nice. Beautiful old lobby. Interesting history. Rooms and beds comfortable. Rooms are somewhat small, but mine did have a small table and two chairs. Bathroom is quite cramped with the toilet barely packed in. A large person would have difficulty get into the toilet and pass the toilet to get into the shower. Plenty of towels. A window that looks out to a cement wall. Breakfast is offered and the buffet is decent but nothing to write home about. Room has virtually no hanging closet space and you had to be slender to fit between the bed and the open closet doors. Only 5 coat hangers. Bathroom sink is huge and lovely deep. The hotel has no luggage scale. I have seen the price range for this Hotel anywhere from AU$146/night to $500. I would do it for $200 or less.

From the moment I arrived, the warm and welcoming staff made me feel right at home. The lobby exudes elegance, setting the tone for what was to come. My room was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the modern amenities one could desire. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring the area. The hotel’s dining options were exceptional! I indulged in breakfast every morning, and each meal was a delightful culinary experience. The variety of dishes offered catered to all tastes, and the quality of the food was top-notch. What truly stood out, however, was the attentive service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was perfect. Whether it was providing local recommendations or accommodating special requests, their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident. The location of The Rendezvous Hotel is also unbeatable. Situated close to key attractions and vibrant nightlife, it was the perfect base for my adventures. I loved being able to stroll through the city and return to such a comfortable retreat at the end of the day. We had a great stay at this hotel. It is central to everything, had a great view of the city and lake. Breakfast was amazing and had a great variety. The Ava cocktail bar was great! Thank you for having us.

The staff is super friendly and will make sure you feel comfortable since the moment you check in - namely giving you early checkin (7 Am) given the flight hours you had before. The rooms are average for the price. The breakfast is excellent and the coffee is excellent too! The staff at the bar was somehow rude sometimes, but the entire experience at the hotel made me forget that.
