There is no shortage of pubs in Hawthorn, and the The Hawthorn Hotel (Hawka) really stood out for us. It has a nice local vibe, and the food was outstanding. We ordered the Beer Battered Rockling ($30), and the Sunday Roast of the Day ($28) - which includes a delicious puffed-up Yorkshire Pudding and a generous portion of roasted vegetables. The Sunday Roast is an incredible deal and favoured by many other diners. Unfortunately, the pub no longer offers unlimited roasted vegetables. The nachos are seemingly another favourite as we saw many plates brought out from the kitchen. Great deals on throughout the week - definitely worth another visit!

I recently had the absolute pleasure of hanging out at the Hawthorn Hotel, and wow, what an experience! The service was just amazing. The staff were super attentive and made sure we were taken care of, making us feel totally spoiled. One of the best parts was the live music. The place was buzzing with energy and really made our evening. Even though we didn’t have a booking, the management went out of their way to fit us in, showing just how awesome their customer service is. Everything about our visit was spot on. The management at Hawthorn Hotel clearly knows how to run things perfectly. I highly recommend this pub for anyone looking for a fantastic night out. You won't be disappointed!

Here for ARIA singing concert. Great location. Just had finger foods, sweet potato fries, pizza, chips and mozzarella sticks. Food was pretty good.

Review of their hired function room. Excellent central location for a reunion of 50 people in their 30s. All bases covered, AV (microphone and music), drink and food available at bar prices, balloons delivered morning of and placed in room, running tally available to meet the bar tab requirements, small table sorted at the last minute. We were moved to the central pub area after completion of the event for a further two hours, all catered for with ease. Highly recommend!

I've always wanted to go into the Hawthorn Hotel, I've seen some negative reviews regarding food and service, but I wanted to try it for myself. I had a really pleasant time there, I had a lovely young lad bringing my drinks out to me, he was really lovely and always had a smile on his face! I didnt realise that cocktail hour stops at 9:30 (roughly around that time, cant remember exactly) I went upto the bar and they were even nice enough to make me some cocktails a few minutes past which was awesome! The food was good and it was overall a really nice meal and night! So I'm not quite sure about the negative reviews and why people have had such bad experiences? The place was clean, give it being busy for parma and trivia night. Overall a really good job, thanks Hawthorn Hotel 🥂
