There is no shortage of pubs in Hawthorn, and the The Hawthorn Hotel (Hawka) really stood out for us. It has a nice local vibe, and the food was outstanding. We ordered the Beer Battered Rockling ($30), and the Sunday Roast of the Day ($28) - which includes a delicious puffed-up Yorkshire Pudding and a generous portion of roasted vegetables. The Sunday Roast is an incredible deal and favoured by many other diners. Unfortunately, the pub no longer offers unlimited roasted vegetables. The nachos are seemingly another favourite as we saw many plates brought out from the kitchen. Great deals on throughout the week - definitely worth another visit!

I tried to order one mocktail and one cocktails @9:55pm. But told closing but google map said 11pm. Then manager said I can order all drinks but cocktails. I don’t mind ordering other drinks but the attitude received seems like we are not welcomed here

I recently had the absolute pleasure of hanging out at the Hawthorn Hotel, and wow, what an experience! The service was just amazing. The staff were super attentive and made sure we were taken care of, making us feel totally spoiled. One of the best parts was the live music. The place was buzzing with energy and really made our evening. Even though we didn’t have a booking, the management went out of their way to fit us in, showing just how awesome their customer service is. Everything about our visit was spot on. The management at Hawthorn Hotel clearly knows how to run things perfectly. I highly recommend this pub for anyone looking for a fantastic night out. You won't be disappointed!

Went here with friends for dinner and to watch the tennis. Lots of screens to watch and nice venue. Unfortunately the food wasn’t great. I got the Wednesday steak special $29 and asked for medium rare. It was over well done and chewy. Basic salad and fries. One friend got the veggie burger and her roll was stale. The other friend got the souvlaki and the lamb was chewy. She did not feel well afterwards. I know many venues are struggling so keep up with the costs but food quality and safety is paramount. Ordering through the app also reduces the customer service and adds to fees. Can also be confusing and can’t edit many options. Not a fan of this as a whole. Venue is really nice. Hopefully food quality improves.
