Cosy pub located in Port Melbourne offers and old-school vibe as well as hearty meals and a selection of beers and cider. There’s a fancy restaurant here too that I didn’t try but the food in the public bar is perfectly adequate for a casual meal. Service was prompt and friendly and location is very convenient, easily accessible from Melbourne’s CBD via the 109 tram. Come out to check the beach and stop in for dinner afterwards.

The food was pretty nice. But the service was a bit shocking. We had had asked for another jig of water - never came, asked for a lemonade - never showed up, ordered for sides - never showed up. Not sure if it was coz they're short on staff, but it was kind of quiet on a Thur evening anyway. Anyway - points for the taste 👍🏽 had the chicken burger, was quite nice. The chicken was crumbed well and the coleslaw mix with sauce in it nicely complemented it.

8 of us, we've ordered 7 Sunday's roast - lamb and 1 hamburger ... smart girl, stand alone. The Hamburger was good, so are those chips, however nearly all roast lamb were served cold, undercooked, chewy, three or four were just on the rare side, one was sent back, the rest just could not not be bothered ... lots of fats on those lamb slices too. Roast potatoes and long beans were good, so is the gravy ... and Yorkshire puddings. Service was good, apart from dealing with the undercooked issue ... just a terrible Sunday's roast. 01/10/2023.

Let me tell you…. After a wonderful day around Port Melbourne we were starving and we landed at The Exchange!! We ordered gluten free Fish and chips, but it was very bland, at least chips and salad was good.
