The usual Novotel quality and service. Still can't figure out why Novotel goes 'cheap' with their shower design. Without a proper shower enclosure, the bathroom floor always gets wet and slippery - not exactly keeping safety in mind for their guests! Beds and bedding are very comfortable. Room was clean, although my very sensitive sense of smell did detect a hint a cigarette smoke - from a previous guest?

There is no pool in the hotel and the gym is very small... u have to use the pool next door at a price to pay. Rest are fine.. noting much around the hotel. However the rooms are neat and tidy.

After my horrendous trip to Novotel Darling Harbour I said I would never go to Novotel again, however circumstances made it that I hàd to stay at Novotel Preston in Melbourne and it was great. The manager was so helpful and could not do enough for us when we had to change rooms because the heating wasn't working. I would stay again as the rooms are so well appointed. I must add that I will never go back to Novotel Darling Harbour, so mismanaged and no thought for the guests, but Preston is run by different people and they are great.

For a few months, one of the Vietnamese lady there wasn’t respectful for being human to casual stuffs from other companies they have hired. I was a one of the situation asking her to double check the process of catering if it was time to unwrap buffet before carrying on tables or doing them when they were on the table already. What was the answer is dissatisfied expression on her face and tried to put it as the serious problem for no reason.

I like then Rome is spacious but the bathroom is tiny, especially the shower. Nothing much. Around the hotel. Service is just ok and average. Not impressed the whole bottle of water looks like tap Water refilled. The bed and bed sheet I love them. I got the room with panoramic view. A bit more , for the cleanliness is 4/10. I saw dirt and dust. I don’t feel clean and hygienic much.
