Just got back from having a fantastic time at Hey Caddy in Northland (Preston)! After impromptu birthday plans, and a call assuring us that our party of 11 (including one toddler) were more than welcome, we showed up after booking two hours beforehand to a great seating area to treat as base camp and very obliging staff that explained how the place worked and our options for ordering food and drink. They even provided a mini putter for the toddler so she could be included. We split into two groups and did all 18 holes (two seperate courses of 9), with food in between. The portions were great, with full size pizzas, and the prices were incredibly fair for the clearly very fresh food. They even checked if we wanted to order more food before they closed the kitchen. A small thing but very appreciated! The music isn't too loud, the golf itself is really interesting (it's like normal mini golf but no flat, green boring bits), visually fun and has some great surprises in store to make it very unique! The lighting isn't overwhelming and in your face either. To top it all off, one of the staff members (I didn't catch your names, sorry!) took a group photo for us at the end with the birthday boys favourite hole (the plane), complete with making shutter noises to grab the attention of the toddler. A lot of fun and we will most certainly be back!!

Set design for each hole is great, but game design is terrible. Half of them have smooth floors where the balls keep rolling around, and almost every surface isn't level so the balls roll into corners or in other directions. This makes some holes pretty much impossible to finish. Price is also a bit expensive for what it is.

As the newest edition to the ever evolving Northland Shopping Centre, I can say for sure I had a blast (even though I was playing it by myself). As it was opening week, I received a free trial for neighbouring X-Golf after I finished the 18th hole which was nice, considering I was there during off-peak. Oh and the walls are there for a reason. You want the surprise of the holes on arrival. I also found it to be cheaper for a walk in than a booking (even though I should of paid adult prices). Overall, the themes of the holes made up for the experience, so it may well truly compete with other mini golf bars.

Feel sorry for the staff, clear understaffed so considering we are approaching Xmas and there were bookings, wouldn’t you ensure you were properly staffed. Has such potential to be great, the online ordering system has no processes in place to work efficiently.

It was really quiet when we were there, which was a blessing. Effort has gone into the theme of the holes but a lot of them were arbitrary and didn't feel fun... I think because of the wood surface. One of the few gimmicks (Area 51) wasn't working. I didn't feel the usual amount of fun. The staff were really nice and the golf simulated range is probably a lot of fun
