My wife and I recently celebrated our wedding at SEG on 22.09.24 and while the venue itself was beautiful, there were several aspects of the service and process that left us deeply disappointed. I believe it’s important to share this feedback with you in the hope that future events can be handled with more care and professionalism. 1.Wedding Planner Our experience with the wedding planner was very unpleasant. He frequently spoke over me and made me feel uncomfortable. When I inquired about meal suppliers on 17/9/24, his response was that it was too late, followed by harsh criticism that we were getting back to him too late. While I understand the importance of timelines, the way he communicated this was intimidating and unnecessary. He mentioned that everything needed to be in writing, but this was never communicated to us in advance. Had we known, we would have ensured that all our communication was done formally. His email responses were often delayed, and overall, we felt he was not helpful or supportive, which only added more stress in the lead-up to the wedding. It seemed as though he was simply doing his job without any genuine care for our day. On the day of the wedding, I overheard him raising his voice at the photobooth supplier, which I found highly unprofessional. This added to the stress we were already feeling on our special day. 2.Security: Several of our guests reported feeling uncomfortable after being pushed by the security team. This aggressive behavior is unacceptable, especially at an event meant to celebrate a joyful occasion. 3.Bar Staff: One of the bartenders displayed poor attitude and lacked courtesy when serving our guests, which detracted from the overall enjoyment of the evening. 4.Projector Setup: We were informed on the day of the wedding that the projector had not been confirmed, despite verbally telling the wedding planner about it in advance. He blamed us for not providing written confirmation, which added unnecessary stress and confusion on the day of the event. 5.Extra Charges for Ceiling Lights: While the wedding planner emphasized that everything had to be confirmed in writing (and blamed us for not doing so regarding the projector set up), we were charged for extra ceiling lights without any written confirmation or our legal consent. If everything needed to be in writing, why were these lights added without our approval? We strongly believe we should not be held responsible for this charge and request that it be removed from the invoice. Overall, the unprofessionalism and lack of communication we experienced caused us considerable stress during a time that should have been joyful and seamless. We hope this feedback helps improve your services for future clients, as the venue itself was lovely, but the service and planning left much to be desired. We would appreciate your prompt attention to these issues, particularly the incorrect charges. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to your response.

The venue has quite a nice location on the South Wharf, close to the DFO. The entranceway is quite nice, as was the initial bar area at the top. They had a selection of drinks and canapes. The dining area was opened up once most of the people had arrived. The views of the city were quite nice. The staff were all quite good but there were times where it was hard to find anyone to get some drinks, or a drink order being forgotten. The food was alright. It wasn't amazing but it was nice. I didn't like how the mains (Beef or fish) were alternating. It was otherwise a really nice, convenient venue.

Our daughter had her wedding here in March 2021. We, as a family couldn’t have been happier with the service, venue, food and ambience. We chose a Sunday night, so had a full bar special.

Exceeded every expectation! Food & Desire made our wedding day so wonderful at their venue Aerial. The process from start to finish was easy, working with their event coordinators and venue managers. The organisation and service of all the staff is high quality, they were so accommodating and enthusiastic for our special day. The food was fabulous, our guests raved about the taste and freshness, plus we had a special ice cream bar that Food & Desire willingly organised for us, that our guests loved! We couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue. Highly recommend Food & Desire at Aerial, their service and quality of catering is beyond wonderful.

Lovely venue in the heart of Melbourne. I had the pleasure to shot a wedding being held at Aerial and everything was amazing. The decor looked fantastic, the staff was friendly and attentive and most importantly the couple was so happy enjoying their party!
