The Terrace was a lovely little cafe in the heart of the Royal Botanical Gardens. The coffee was solid, the toasties were good, and the service was great. It’s a bit of a tourist spot, so don’t expect the level of food and drink you’d see in other Melbourne hot spots, but it was a nice little stop along the walk. Thanks again!!

I tried a few things during my visit, and here’s what I thought: First, the coconut chia seed pudding was absolutely perfect for me—so delicious and refreshing! I loved it and would definitely recommend it. Next, the pepperoni pizza had an interesting balance of sweet and salty flavors. It was okay, but not my favorite. Finally, the gelato was a real treat! Sweet and creamy, with the chocolate flavor being especially rich and satisfying. The prices were quite affordable, and the staff was friendly, which made the experience even better. Although we only did takeaway, we enjoyed sitting there for a bit. The atmosphere in the morning was peaceful and just perfect for starting the day!

The Terrace is a beautiful gem inside the spectacular Botanical Gardens, particularly on a warm summer’s day. Perfect for alfresco cafe dining. The food is well considered and the staff are friendly. Recommend booking a table as it does get quite busy.

The terrace is worth a visit for delicious food. On arrival it was a little slow to find a staff member to seat you but after that it was great. Friendly staff, beautiful location and the food was DELICIOUS - good adaptions for dietary requirements

You pay for the view of the lake, food looks presentable BUT taste was average considering Melbourne is a foodie district. The hot cake is like a large piece of cake with maple syrup poured all over, and comes with an excess of cream. My boyfriend ordered chilli scramble eggs, bread was dry, and his cappuccino was not great, the milk was burned.
