I visited Talk To Me in October 2025 for a singles event, and it turned out to be such a fun night. The venue was really easy to find, and my friend managed to score free parking nearby without any stress. There were friendly people at the door welcoming guests and checking tickets. The front signage was pretty minimal, but we recognised the event host straight away and followed the music inside. The DJ was set up just to the left of the entrance beside a long bar that stretched down the length of the bottom floor. The layout left a small space near the doorway where a few people danced, though it wasn’t the most ideal dance spot. We arrived around 8.30pm, grabbed drinks, and explored the space. Downstairs had heaps of cute indoor seating, and a staircase at the back led up to the toilets and a small mezzanine that overlooked the DJ and entryway. The whole place had a really cosy and creative vibe with moody lighting, neon wall signs, and even old framed paintings that gave it personality. The ceiling design was especially cool, with umbrellas lining the roof. Out the back, there was a little smoker’s courtyard that felt like stepping into a mini enchanted garden. It had a fake phone booth, a massive faux tree blending into the roof, and twinkling lights that made it such a fun area to hang out and chat. The bar looked well stocked, and I’m pretty sure they have a kitchen too. I’d love to go back sometime to try the food and a few of their cocktails. The staff were lovely all night, super friendly and happy to serve until close, which really added to the positive energy of the event. The owner apparently partners with local event teams and DJs to host these kinds of singles nights, which I think is great. It shows a genuine commitment to creating community and supporting local talent, and that’s something I always love to see. Entry was part of the event ticket, so I can’t comment on regular prices, but drinks were reasonably priced for South Yarra and definitely worth it for the atmosphere. After things wrapped up around 11pm, it was an easy walk to Chapel Street to keep the night going. Overall, Talk To Me is such a cute, creative space with great vibes, friendly staff, and a strong sense of community. It’s the perfect spot to start a night out and I’d absolutely go back again.

What a rad little gem on Commercial Rd! Love the decor and vibe of this place esp their neon lips and parasol ceiling. Their selection is cocktails are delicious and I loved their kimchi chicken with gravy! Staff are super friendly and attentive. This place would be great for dates and friendly catch ups and also big groups, their back courtyard with the light tree at night makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a enchanted forrest. Would definitely be back!

This venue absolutely exceeded our expectations and made our private event unforgettable. From the moment we booked, Antonio was incredibly responsive and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Communication was prompt and professional every step of the way, and it was clear that Antonio genuinely cared about our experience—not just the business side of things. On the day of the event, everything was set up perfectly ahead of time. The bar was ready to go, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and totally on the ball. Food service was on time and delicious, and our guests were so impressed with the atmosphere and attention to detail. Special shoutout to G, the venue manager, who was an absolute legend and made sure everything was seamless throughout the night. The venue itself is stunning and full of potential—warm, stylish, and versatile. We felt completely supported and valued from start to finish. If you’re looking for a unique space with exceptional service for a private booking, this is 100% the place to go. Can’t wait to book again for our next event!

I had my partners surprise party in one of the function spaces (the one out the back with the big, beautiful tree!!🌴). Right from the get-go, one of the owners, Antonio was so kind, accommodating and super responsive! He made the process so easy, and he was there to help whenever I needed anything! We had such an incredible night 🥰, with great vibes, amazing cocktails and beautiful music 🎶. The surprise was great by the way and he had NO IDEA! 🤣 Antonio’s best friend, Alex even helped me cut up/ divvy out the birthday cake 🍰!! What a legend. We will definitely be back! For another function, or even just a cocktail 🍹 in one of Melbourne’s fun and quirky, hidden bars. Great place for a date, a party, or even just a boogie and beverage! Love Talk to me! I don’t go out or drink much but if I’m going to it’ll be here! Owner is great! nothing but an amazing vibe and a great safe place to get a bit loose with my friends. Had a going away party here last year and The food was amazing plus great drinks to remember such an occasion as well. Will forever be coming back!
