We recently had the pleasure of embarking on a glamping adventure at Buckland Estate in Western Australia, and it was a wonderful experience! The glamping tents were immaculately clean, conveniently furnished, and incredibly comfortable. We loved the cozy atmosphere and the opportunity to disconnect from city life. The kitchen facilities were well-equipped and perfect for preparing delicious meals. However, we did encounter a small hiccup - the camp bathrooms. With many guests sharing only two lavatories and showers on each side, it sometimes felt like a bit of a squeeze. While they were clean and well-maintained, a few more facilities would have made a big difference. One thing to keep in mind is that the tents are quite close together, so be prepared for some neighborly camaraderie (and potentially overheard conversations)! Despite this, the tranquil surroundings and stunning scenery made it easy to relax and unwind. Overall, Buckland Estate is a lovely place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and experience the serene side of the Australian outback. With a few tweaks to the bathroom situation, it would be absolutely perfect! We would definitely recommend it to fellow glamping enthusiasts and look forward to returning in the future.

We had our wedding at Buckland and spent three wonderful nights in the picturesque Estate grounds. My family had flown over from England and the brides family, just down the road from Perth but both parties were equally spellbound by the setting. In the lead up we had been liaising with Di who is truly amazing at what she does. Di helped us every step of the way and even though we were arranging the wedding from Brisbane she made it feel so easy and every question was answered in great detail. Di was so responsive and went out of her way to help with any questions or problems we had - even collecting some pies we had ordered from Toodyay Bakery on the day as it was on her way through - absolute legend! Another shout out to Lindsay who was fantastic in helping arrange the furniture, arbor etc. in order to create a magical setting. All in all, Buckland Estate was the perfect place for us and was better than we ever expected and has helped create memories that we and both our families and friends will treasure forever. We had the most perfect weekend ever celebrating our wedding at Buckland Estate. The whole experience was so streamlined and easy, with no questions or wants to hard for the team at Buckland. A big thanks to Di for answering all our questions and going out of her way to help where ever she could, and to Bill making sure we had everything we needed and help with setting up and packing away throughout the whole weekend. We cannot thank them enough. All of our guests just loved the Estate and being able to bring caravans and having the glamping tents allowed us to have all Of our friends and family from all over Australia come and spend the weekend with us celebrating. Having the Ceremony just in front of the homestead on the grass, to moving into the courtyard area for pre-reception drinks and canapés to then up to the barn area for the main reception, all within less then a minute walk, it was exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Having the beautiful country vibe but also the luxury of the estate it was exactly what we were after. The main homestead has so many rooms all with their own personal characteristics, our photographer and videographer were so excited to get started. Moving outside you couldn’t ask for a better backdrop, you don’t even need to go far to find great spots. We would highly recommend Buckland Estate for anyone wanting to have a wedding. Sort of wondering how they have so many ‘five star’ reviews. No air conditioning, no hot water, tonnes of bugs, and absolutely zero help on the wedding day. I’ve never been to a venue with so little coordination. The place looks run down, the grass is burnt, patchy, the horses don’t look well cared for at all. It does not give off a ‘classy wedding day vibe’ everything was dirty when we arrived, we had to ask for things to be cleaned. It honestly would have been more pleasant to sleep in our cars than the lumpy beds and the pillows that were either rock hard or non existent. Zips on a lot of the tents were broken and we had to ask for it to be fixed. I feel bad for my friend who paid $9k for this faulty towers experience. The property has potential if they hired real staff, cleaners, gardeners and a wedding coordinator to actually help you on the day. I’m getting married next year and I would never even consider this venue as an option or recommend it to anyone i know.

I cannot recommend Buckland Estate enough. Everything was easy and both Russell and Di were just incredible to deal with. They did everything they could to cater for what we were after, it was the best part of planning our wedding. The glamping tents were gorgeous and the house and cottages were clean and fresh and to have full access to everything the day before made it that much easier. If you’re looking for an incredible venue for incredible photos and a place your guests will talk about well after the wedding is over then Buckland is the place to book!
