Thank you for an enchanting high tea last Sunday. The ambience with a live harpist was so relaxing. We were impressed with the starched white tablecloths and the immaculate service, which was outstanding. We had a multi- cultural table with a Scot, Indian, South African and a New Zealander - we all thought this high tea was up there with some of the top notch hotels in the world. You made our birthday celebration so very special.

The Duxton has an amazing view and with Elizabeth Quay right there it’s in a prime location. The service is great, and the rooms look stunning and feel luxurious. However our shower didn’t drain properly and flooded twice and we had the squeegee the water with a towel into a drain before it got into the carpet. The near flooding emergency was my only complaint and I loved my stay here. The addition of a “vanity” kit in the bathroom with Q-tips was greatly appreciated.

Firstly, a big thanks to Abbey at the front desk. She was so polite and helpful. The rooms are newly refurbished. I had stayed here before when it was a drab golden wood. Now it's lovely and new. Bathrooms have nonslip floors. Great location. Will come again. Thank you

Loved our experience at the Duxton. The customer service experience was incredible. Managed to check in early with our 4 boys. The staff are friendly, polite, welcoming and helpful. The river views are fab. Our food was exceptional at breakfast. We've stayed in all the big hotels in Perth and this is truly one of the best. Old school Decor, but old school values. Nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend!

Absolutely diabolical experience just trying to order some friends' staying there a bottle of champagne to celebrate the night with. After numerous phone calls and being transferred I'm told I need to fill out a "Chargeback Authorisation Form". After telling them I was out with a mobile phone only I get an un-editable pdf sent, and that's after reminding them to send the email. I told her countless times I could not fill out a form. Why is it so hard to take my credit card details over the phone? This is common practice. Anyway my friends missed out and so did you on a sale of champagne. It is an antiquated system which I have never experienced at the other large hotels. To add insult to injury...the redwine I'd arranged for the Saturday night turned up without our Happy Wedding Anniversary note which was requested the day earlier. How hard is it? Certainly put me off ever staying there or recommending it to anyone.
