Reviews for Oaks Perth

Anyone leaving this place a less than 4 star review should read my review and go and stay at Oaks in Sydney. Honestly, Oaks Perth is a veritable palace in comparison. Not without it's flaws, but you wouldn't think it was part of the same group. The entrance is big and leads off to a nice, quiet restaurant area. The staff on reception are polite and helpful, especially the lady on our last night who managed to get us a cab while the road was closed and even went out looking for it with us! The room was very big, with a really useful kitchenette with a fridge, hotplate, toaster and kettle with a selection of tea and coffee and milk in the fridge. The bathroom is also big and has a powerful shower. The only downside to our stay was information (or lack of it) about housekeeping. The sign in the bathroom says to leave towels on the floor to be changed. We left at 7.30am on the first morning and got back at 6.30pm to find them still there. When I went to speak with reception, we were told housekeeping were not in on that day (a Sunday, maybe normal) and in any event "not all rooms have daily housekeeping". Would have been really useful to have been told all of this on check-in but regardless, he was very helpful and gave us a full replacement set of towels. We didn't get room service for the rest of our three day stay, so we can only assume ours was a room/price level which doesn't get it. Breakfast was really good. Not the biggest range of choice but plenty enough and very good food.

I recently stayed at Oaks Perth, and overall, it was a great experience. The location is fantastic, with the Perth Underground Station just a short walk away, providing easy access to most subway lines in the city. I loved being close to the Sushi Hub near the station—it’s definitely worth a visit! Additionally, we found convenient shortcuts to Wellington Street and William Street through Raine Square, which also features a food court and a Coles Mart, perfect for quick meals or snacks. Don’t miss out on The Wolf Espresso at the back of the hotel; it’s a delightful spot for coffee. Our room was comfortable and well-equipped, complete with amenities like a pantry that included a microwave, electric kettle, utensils, and complimentary coffee, tea, and milk. Another plus was the hotel’s flexibility with luggage; they allowed us to store our bags until the evening since checkout was at 10 AM. The only downside was the air conditioner, which seemed a bit old and was positioned facing the bed, making it a little less comfortable. Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Oaks Perth and would recommend it for its excellent location and amenities!

Spent 9 nights here. Room is spacious. Air con is too loud. Small kitchen to cook simple meals. Location very good. Near to train station and main shopping area. Near to CAT bus stops. Booked a room with housekeeping but only given one housekeeping day.

Probably the worst hotel my wife and I have stayed at. We checked in and the first room we went into sounded like a train. It was the aircon system. We went and told them so they gave us another room. The aircon was broken and when you did get it to start the aircon vent wouldn’t open. So down we went again. Instead of just giving us another room or even an upgrade to say sorry no we had to wait in the lobby for there repairman to go and fix it. 20 minutes later finally got up to the room. The aircon vent was fixed because the repair guy jammed the vent opened. Now we have it blowing straight across our bed. Room dirty. Vent in the bathroom was so mouldy that some sort of fungus was growing out of the roof vent. Push buttons on the toilet was broken and you have to climb into the bathroom to take a shower that you had to do spins just to get wet. Staff are a joke. Couldn’t care less. This hotel is simply old and outdated along with their repairs. Would never stay here again. Will attach photos if it lets me. Hopefully no one gets sick from all the mould in the bathroom. Terrible wish I could give it a negative star.

Excellent location, 2 minutes walk to train station and CBD, plenty bars and restaurants around the area. Room was spacious and clean, downside was the noise from the AC unit. Staff at check in and the bar were excellent, also probably the cheapest pint in Perth, $9. Would definitely stay here again.
