⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was lucky enough to win the Mother's Day Coastal Escape and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Everything was taken care of I including dinner & breakfast for two, a late check-out, which made our stay feel extra relaxing and special. The hotel is in a fantastic location overlooking beautiful Scarborough Beach with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had stunning ocean views. The staff were friendly, welcoming and made us feel looked after throughout our stay. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and the late check-out meant we could enjoy a slow, relaxing morning before heading home. A huge thank you to the Rendezvous Hotel Scarborough for such a wonderful prize. We had an unforgettable stay and would happily return in the future. Highly recommend!

We’re currently on our second (and final) night of a two-night stay at Rendezvous, celebrating our daughter’s birthday, and it has truly been a lovely experience overall. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcomed. The birthday note for our daughter was such a thoughtful touch, and the complimentary chocolates and bottle of wine were a wonderful surprise — small gestures that made the celebration feel extra special. One of the highlights of our stay has been the breakfast buffet. I honestly didn’t expect much at first and had only booked breakfast for one morning, but after experiencing it today, I immediately added breakfast for our second morning as well. It was absolutely worth it. The selection was great, everything was fresh, and the kids especially loved the pancake station. We also really appreciated the little goodie bag for the kids — the beach hat, lollies, and the adventure passport (complete with free ice cream) were such a hit and made our daughter feel very spoilt. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a very comfy bed, great pillows, and a beautiful ocean view that we enjoyed throughout our stay. Every staff member we’ve interacted with has been friendly, attentive, and genuinely lovely, which made a big difference. If I had to mention a couple of minor downsides: the parking area had an unpleasant smell, and while the room was clean, parts of the bathroom/toilet area do feel a little dated. That said, neither of these took away from our overall enjoyment. All in all, we’ve had a wonderful stay and felt well looked after. The thoughtful touches, excellent breakfast, and warm hospitality made this a memorable birthday getaway for our family. We’d happily stay again.

The room was clean, well equipped and well maintained. Loved the cable charging points. The bed was very comfortable. The view was fantastic! Service was great! I had to call to find where to enter for reception as they are renovating but the lady was friendly and gave great directions. Room service was speedy and friendly. Location is great. Right on the beach with loads of places to drink and dine. I wish we could have stayed longer.

I recently stayed here for four nights, while the location was great the overall experience was average. The good points: - Location is fantastic just a few steps from the beach, restaurants and cafes. - The car parking facilities were good with plenty of spaces and a discounted rate. - The room was spacious and comfortable during our stay. The bad points: - Firstly we were surprised there was no pool. We didn’t know until we arrived, this was booked through a third party and we thought the photos of the pool were current. They provided passes to a busy public lap pool. - The shower had some flooding which we had to clean up with towels after reporting to the cleaners they said it wasn’t their responsibility. I’d have thought they would make note of this and tell the maintenance team and clean up. This made the hotel feel like a budget experience. - Disappointingly we thought the sparkling water on the bench was complimentary being outside the fridge, only to find out we were charged $18 for this. Scarborough is lovely, unfortunately I’d not recommend staying at this hotel currently.

I recently stayed at Rendezvous in Scarborough, Perth, and while there were some positives, the experience overall was disappointing. The location is fantastic — right in the heart of the Scarborough beachfront vibe, with plenty happening nearby. The views were definitely a highlight and made for a great backdrop during the stay. Unfortunately, the rest didn’t quite live up to expectations. The gym is very tired and in need of some serious attention. The pool was closed during my visit, and it didn’t appear that any work was actively being done, which suggests it may be out of action for quite some time. Service was the biggest letdown. There were several instances where staff fell short. One example was at reception, where a line of guests was clearly waiting, yet a customer walked straight up to a staff member and was served without acknowledgement of the queue. It was uncomfortable, and I had to point it out myself, as the staff member didn’t manage the situation appropriately. I also requested a toaster for the room and was told they didn’t have one available — a fairly basic amenity that you’d expect to be accommodated or at least handled better. When I raised concerns and asked for staff names to include in feedback, the manager refused to provide them, which felt dismissive and unhelpful. Overall, while the location and views are excellent, the service and facilities need significant improvement to match the setting.
