I’ve done two events with HPH both were phenomenal. There is a great attention to detail in the planning, event and food. Christmas lunch was 10/10, they even had a little pressie my Bub. Food was delicious and huge portions. Fun games at both events. Excellent value for money. Staff are always so fun and helpful. I’ve walked away both times very happy and so thankful!

Delightful lunch today. Welcoming friendly staff. Extensive menu & the day's specials. Food was excellent. My sweetheart & my brother both had the beef roast which was delicious, full of flavour. I had the fish & chips. Fish perfectly cooked. Generous portion. Being Father's day it was extremely busy however there was no delay in receiving our meals. One of our favourite & we will definitely return.

My last review the Hyde Park was a suggestion to change their menu... at long last they did... but... as a Pescatarian, it was a joy to see more vegetarian and fish on the menu.. so with a bit of joy ordered the Humpty Doo Barra Fillet Burger.. Crumbed barramundi, cheese, lettuce, chunky tartare, toasted burger bun for $28.00. Barramundi? Was it? Crumbed like a rock with a thin slice of 'fish' inside, in a burger that must have glanced at the toaster, lettuce was wilted and barely covering the bun surface, cheese one of those peel of the plastic slices of cheese, now the chunky tartare was intrguing, where were those chuncky bits.. left in the jar it sure came from... all for $28.00!!! Sitting on a plate of forlorn tasteless chips, barely covering the space they were intended for... but not to be put off, returned to the Hydey as it is my local, and this time asked if I could have the fish grilled instead, 'no it comes pre crumbed, frozen' ... so its not fresh but straight from the packet to the deep fryer.. so instead opted for the Lentil and Chickpea Burger... as the menu reads: Red onion, tomoto, red onion (yes twice) pickles, greens, spice mayo, toasted bun.. all for $25.00. The bun still looking at the toaster, the red onion, printed twice, was only dare I say, a single quarter slither.. greens? I presume the piece of green stuff that barely covered the sliver of onion, and spicy mayo... nope! Not there... needless to say.. Come on, Hydey..your staff are fabulous, you get the crowds for the drinks, but the food, thank goodness, there is free parking and they allow your dogs to join in.. with free biscuits.

The good: Accepts dogs Has a smoking area Play sport Central location The bad: Apathetic, badly trained staff that provide poor service The ugly: Overpriced drinks Sticky tables Permanently reeking drains in the beer garden(problem for years) N.B I really want this place to be good. I'm a local. The management seriously need to raise their game and train their staff properly. If you're going to charge above average prices you need to at least keep your tables clean so customers arms aren't glued to the tables. If this place didn't have such a great locations you'd go out of business. I'm typing this smelling your drains in the beer garden. Do better HPH
