Hotel
•Canberra's Hotel Realm is a five-star hotel on National Circuit Barton, next to the Parliamentary Triangle. Found within walking distance of at least three national icons (Parliament House, the National Gallery of Australia and the National Library of Australia), it seems fitting that the hotel and its function spaces be of the multi-award-winning variety. Along with a slew of elegant guest rooms, five-star facilities, and casual and fine dining options, Hotel Realm offers a number of function and event spaces. Flooded with natural light and ranging in size, there are four boardrooms available for groups. Additionally, the Hotel Realm boasts a sophisticated ballroom (ideal for weddings) and stylishly designed High Courtyards. Hotel Realm is ideal for those visiting Canberra on business, locals in need of meeting rooms or space for a conference, as well as for larger-scale events like gala dinners.
We had an amazing stay at this Hotel. The location was perfect for exploring the nearby tourist spots. It’s right in the heart of everything. Our room was clean, spacious, and had a comfortable bed that made for a great night's sleep. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, they handed us kids holiday activity pack & complimentary drink card to redeem in the bar for us as an anniversary token. We stayed in the executive floor as we requested to stay in quiet floor. My daughter loved the room, amenities and we definitely had a relaxed holiday. We wish we could have stayed for another day. 🙂 We can't wait to come back in Canberra again and to book to this Hotel.
Hotel Realm Canberra is an excellent choice for both stays and events. The interior and decor are modern, stylish and thoughtfully designed, creating a comfortable and professional atmosphere. Service is great and the staff are attentive, efficient and make everything run smoothly. The conference rooms are outstanding, spacious and equipped with everything needed to host an event, conference or a business meeting with ease. The overall setup of the hotel makes it ideal for both business and leisure.
The hotel is facing TWO construction sites so rooms are super noisy. Even I requested a quiet room but they still assigned me a room facing directly to the construction sites and downstairs are pick up lobby so you can basically hear everything. After 1 night, I requested to change a more quiet room, they did agree to do so but it’s a room sitting internal of the hotel and with less than 0.5 meters wide window without any fresh air, next to the lift….would NOT recommend to stay here, the quality and service not like 5 star hotels at all. Also that’s photos after the housekeeper cleaned the room 🙃. Look at how dusty the air cons.
Edward was absolutely wonderful during our stay. He was very professional, kind, and went above and beyond to assist us. He made the check-in process smooth and welcoming, and he was always ready to help with a smile. His friendly attitude and excellent customer service really made our experience at the hotel enjoyable. Thank you, Edward, for your outstanding hospitality!
This doghouse of a hotel is far from a 5 star establishment. After checking in I found the previous guest's dirty underwear in the cupboard. There were visible food stains on the bed quilt, the balcony has spider's webs over it, the shower vent is clogged with dirt, the shower head is caked in lint and dust, there is no turndown service in the evening, the mini bar selection looks like it was throw in the fridge, the fridge door had food marks and finger prints over it, the towels are of poor quality and all folded differently. The shower water leaks all over the bathroom floor, I needed a spoon to remove the bath plug after use. I mentioned these points to reception after my first night stay and was promised a "VIP clean" of my room. Needless to stay all these issues remained even after cleaning. The buffet breakfast is cheap and nasty with multiple options of tinned fruit, salt and pepper in little paper sachets and staff with unironed uniforms. Windows and mirrors have wipe marks all over them, rubbish left of the floor post cleaning. The room phone failed to work when I tried to call reception to complain and the TV freezes and has pixels over the screen when watching it. If this is what Australia calls 5 Star in the nations capital, then I'm truly embarrassed for our country.
