My wife and I chose the Park Hyatt Canberra for our wedding night, staying in the magnificent 230-square-metre Diplomatic Suite. With its own private dining room, it was the perfect setting to host an intimate catered lunch/dinner with our parents and the food and beverage team made it absolutely unforgettable. From the very first email, the level of service was outstanding. The team was incredibly responsive, sending across menus promptly and answering every question we had about specific items. When we explained that some of our parents had dietary requirements, they went above and beyond working directly with the chef to organise specially tailored dishes. They also arranged a custom wedding cake through their pastry chef, which was a beautiful and personal touch. When we arrived, everything was already set up. The food itself arrived exactly on time, hot, fresh, and delicious. A big and well-deserved shout-out to Bibi and Sonam, the food and beverage managers who orchestrated everything. Their professionalism and attention to detail turned what could have been a logistical challenge into a seamless experience.

We loved this place. Stars are hard because I will give 5 stars to a first rate country motel, but this is 5 star review for a 5 star luxury hotel. The heritage is great, the beds are so comfortable and the bathroom is perfect. The staff deserve mention because they strive so hard for guest comfort.

Great hotel. Excellent staff and management, lovely heritage architecture and quiet good location with easy access to many great destinations. The Speaker's Corner bar is a nice place for a drink and the hotel hires bikes if you want to take a ride around the lake. Lovely rooms, good beds. Highly recommended.

A very unique and lovely place to stay - quiet, far enough out from CBD to not be crowded but still close to everything. Historical building and architecture, lots of nooks and crannies to explore. A car helps, but otherwise can't fault their services or room amenities - large bathroom, open layout and picturesque gardens. Very secure afterhours too. The only thing I'm sorry about was I didn't get to meet their ambassadog - Pixel!!

I've stayed here many times over a number of years and it never disappoints. Big rooms and bathrooms. Good spaces throughout the hotel. A quiet location but a great spot to go for walks around the nearby lake or to the various galleries and museums that are nearby. Good natural light in most rooms I've stayed in. The restaurant serves a good breakfast and I had a really nice well grilled steak for dinner on this stay. Staff are always friendly and relaxed.
