We recently stayed at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra – A Park Hyatt Hotel and was genuinely impressed by the experience. From the moment we arrived, the hotel exuded timeless elegance, combining historic Art Deco architecture with the comfort and luxury expected from a five-star property. The grand lobby, beautiful chandeliers, and heritage features create a warm yet sophisticated atmosphere that immediately sets the hotel apart. The staff were welcoming, professional, and attentive throughout my stay, making the experience feel both personal and seamless. The room was spacious, immaculately presented, and exceptionally comfortable. The bed provided one of the best night’s sleeps I’ve had in a hotel, while the large marble bathroom, complete with premium amenities, added to the sense of luxury. Breakfast at the Promenade Café was outstanding, offering an extensive buffet with fresh, high-quality options to suit every taste. The hotel’s famous High Tea is also a must-try, beautifully presented and well worth the experience. One of the hotel’s greatest strengths is its location. Situated beside Lake Burley Griffin, it offers easy access to Parliament House, the National Gallery of Australia, Questacon, and the popular dining precincts of Manuka and Kingston, all just a few minutes away. While the Hyatt Hotel Canberra is certainly one of the more premium-priced hotels in the city, the heritage charm, exceptional facilities, attentive service, and overall quality make it well worth the investment for those seeking a luxurious stay. We would happily return and highly recommend the Hyatt Hotel Canberra to anyone visiting Australia’s capital, whether for business, a special occasion, or a relaxing weekend getaway. Had a good rest with little flaws over the weekend till my little one lost her favourite teddy bought with her own allowance at the moment. We called and even get back to hotel to try our luck again. The breakfast restaurant staffs tried their best to help, the reception lady Natalie did check lost & found, thank you so much, that’s all I wanted. Before that, the gentlemen in reception throw me to the luggage man and they just left me there till no one was around. I probably waited for more than half an hour, queued in the checkout queue patiently, waited them helped dealing with the leaving guests luggage, then just rushed off disappeared. To be fair, the hotel had an excellent location with nice park cross a road, close to famous attractions. They have nice collection of arts every corner, nice selection of cleaning products, great value for the pre-booked breakfast, provided indoor swimming pool and gym. The bed was comfy, room looks clean almost spotless too, 5 stars after all. A couple of stuff we didn’t like: - We had to call for the added bed, even though we booked and confirmed with reception when checkin. The 3rd set of towels only came in with bed. One of the towel in room had some unpleasant smells. Later we also found hair dryer was missing too. - There were lots of stuff in room but all charges crazy price. It was headache to travel with kids saying millions times “don’t touch”. - When we check out online for a later time, the TV appears to lost function immediately. - When we leave, step out of event hall elevator got a urine smell. - Outside around hotel looks fine, the exterior inside hotel was old and empty.

There’s much to love about this hotel but on this most recent visit it was absolutely disappointing. It was a special event for my partner and I and we had booked a suite. The park suite. Not until I arrived I discovered it was indeed two standard rooms that Have connecting doors to make what the hotel would call a suite. Indeed the connecting doors – which are two clunky looking doors – were left open on both sides to configure this supposed suite and it was very unsightly from both rooms if you had to look at it. Certainly there was a separate living area and a separate bedroom but This design is not designed to be a suite. The elegance and style and most importantly the Flow were missing from what would be a designated design for a hotel suite. So much of this cobbled suite Just doesn’t Work. For example, two desks? One in what is the bedroom and one in what is supposed to be the living room. I could go on as there were other Issues with some poor Armchairs and some lighting that needs attention but essentially if you want a suite - and I’ve stayed in enough to know - don’t book the park suite. The heating fan was ridiculously loud as well and it needed to be turned off at three in the morning after disturbing our sleep.Very disappointing and it doesn’t feel it all like you’re in a suite. On the more positive side the staff are all exemplary and for the most part, the in-house dining very good Although the breakfast whilst very good was mostly luke Warm. I’m sorry to give this hotel a bad review as I’ve stayed there a number of times but this time it just fell short of its Five star expectation. And as always it is the detail that makes a five star experience.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever visited. I stayed twice in one week, and it was genuinely stunning both times. Everything just works here — from the design and atmosphere to the level of service. The rooms are beautifully done, incredibly comfortable, and feel more like a high-end private space than a typical hotel room. What really stood out to me was the consistency. It’s easy to impress once, but coming back just a few days later and having the exact same great experience says a lot. If you’re staying in Canberra, this place is an easy choice.

I've stayed at the park Hyatt Sydney, Seoul, Kyoto and Hyatt properties in the USA and Europe. This one is one of my favorites. The layout is so unique in that it is a mixture of ranch style with multiple lounges and gardens. The hotel interior reminds me of elegance from the 1920s with hardwood floors and decorative walls and ceilings. Beautiful place to get married. I'm a fan of breakfast buffets and I really liked theirs. Also the hotel has an official dog owned by the manager that is precious
