Enjoyed a nice dinner at the Promenade Café. The food was well prepared and satisfying. The service was friendly, attentive, and well paced throughout the evening. Staff were welcoming and made the experience smooth and enjoyable. Caleb was particularly helpful, friendly and professional, and the overall service really stood out. I will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends and family.

Hyatt Canberra feels like stepping into a grand, old-world hotel that has been beautifully preserved. The architecture and interiors are stunning, with a timeless elegance that truly sets it apart from modern city hotels. From the moment you enter, the refined and classic design is absolutely impressive. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and extremely comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Canberra. The place is peaceful and well maintained, simply enjoying the calm atmosphere. The service is professional, warm, and attentive, making you feel genuinely well cared for throughout your stay. Breakfast is another highlight; delicious, high quality, and offering a wide variety of choices, making it a perfect start to the day. Overall, Hyatt Canberra offers a unique blend of history, comfort, luxury, and refined hospitality. A truly memorable stay that feels both classic and special, highly recommended! 🤩

Very nice hotel. It's a bit old but I would still give a 5 star rating because service is superb. The only issue I had during a 5 days stay was some musty smell from the bedding. But they changed it for me quickly. All the staff are super friendly and genuinely wanting to service their guests. Bellman Tom was particularly welcoming - once he was apparently heading to a different direction but saw my big luggage and flied to help me first. Felt that I must give a tip when I checked out. Also you may have the chance to see a few kangaroos and other lovely creatures around hotel backyard which was fun. Go-to place to stay in Canberra.

I stayed here for the first time last week with a friend and we had such a lovely time! Although a short trip, we were able to enjoy the amazing buffet breakfast and great room service meals. All the staff we interacted with were wonderful especially the lady who hosted us at breakfast (I can't remember her name but she worked on Monday 1st of December around 9am). Our twin bed room was spacious and elegant and the in-room amenities and facilities were just right. The minibar selection in the room is great and the prices are quite reasonable. The location is conveniently located near Questacon, Parliament House and the National Library. It was fun to get around by walking or riding a scooter. Although, Ubers were also fairly quick, easy and cheap to catch from the hotel. I wish we could have explored the hotel building itself a bit more if we had time but that just means I have to come back again!

I stayed at Park Hyatt Canberra with high expectations, as it is often described as one of the best hotels in the city. I have stayed in many high-quality hotels before and assess this property against five-star hotel standards. The hotel itself is old but undeniably beautiful — the architecture and Christmas decorations are elegant. My check-in and daytime experience were pleasant, and I initially planned to extend my stay. Several staff members I encountered earlier in the day were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, my overall impression was severely affected by an incident late at night. While taking photos in the public areas of the hotel (such as the lobby and courtyard), I was followed by a front desk staff member, asked to verify my identity for a second time, and told that photographing the hotel’s interior was not allowed. This policy was never communicated at check-in, and there were no visible signs indicating such a restriction. I also observed other guests taking photos during my stay, and the hotel’s online reviews clearly include many interior photos, which made this selective enforcement feel uncomfortable and unfair. Although the staff member claimed he was being “polite,” the interaction felt intrusive, intimidating, and lacking empathy. He did not ask about the purpose of my photography and instead handled the situation in a one-sided and rigid manner. The way this was addressed made me feel singled out rather than respected as a paying guest. It is disappointing that such an experience occurred at a hotel of this standard. While the property itself is beautiful, professionalism, consistency, proper maintenance, and guest comfort should be held to a much higher level. I hope management will review staff training and communication to ensure future guests do not experience the same discomfort. This incident significantly affected my overall experience and journey.
