•La Piazza, located within Azalea Collective’s offering at the Bankstown Sports Club in Bankstown, is an Italian-inspired dining precinct designed like a vibrant “town square”. The space is flexible and stylish: you’ll find indoor and outdoor dining options, which means it can adapt beautifully whether you’re planning a seated dinner, a cocktail-style gathering, or something more relaxed.
For private events, the venue offers AV facilities suitable for speeches or presentations, plus full catering and bar services included in the setup. Capacity-wise, if you take the full venue you can accommodate up to 450 guests.
All in all, it feels like a modern yet warm space—Italian ambiance meets event-venue versatility—which would make a lovely setting for your celebration or gathering.

I’ve been a loyal customer of La Piazza for many years, and it has always been my favourite restaurant. My all-time favourite dish is the Penne Piazza. Unfortunately, the last two times I ordered it as a takeaway, the taste was really disappointing — so bad that I couldn’t eat it and had to throw it away. This was very upsetting because when I dine in, the food is usually great, and I’ve never had this issue before. I’m not sure what’s going wrong with the takeaway orders, but the quality was definitely not the same. I hope this feedback helps improve consistency, especially for takeaway orders, because La Piazza has always been special to me and I’d love to enjoy it the way I used to. Hi there, I just wanted to follow up after my visit today 29/Jan/2026 and share some positive feedback. The food was absolutely great — especially the Penne Piazza, which was back to being as delicious as I’ve always loved it. I’d also like to give a special shoutout to Chris, the assistant manager, for his excellent service. He was welcoming, attentive, and made the experience even better. Thank you for taking my previous feedback on board. Today’s visit really reminded me why La Piazza has been such a favourite of mine. Kind regards, Ali

Amazing atmosphere Great staff, fast and friendly service. Food was below average. Sticky table and glasses with marks on it. Typical RSL vibe.
La Pizza, located inside the Bankstown Sports Club, is a fantastic Italian restaurant that I highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious, authentic food in a spacious and beautifully designed setting. As someone who enjoys Italian cuisine, I must say their pizza is absolutely outstanding — full of flavor, cooked to perfection, and made with quality ingredients. It’s easily some of the best pizza I’ve had in Sydney. The restaurant itself is quite large, capable of accommodating several hundred guests, which makes it an ideal spot for birthday parties, family gatherings, or simply a nice dinner out with friends. The interior is decorated in a charming traditional Italian style, with warm colors and classic decor that give it a cozy yet elegant atmosphere. One of the things I really appreciate is how spacious, cool, and airy the dining area feels. It creates a relaxed and comfortable environment where you can really enjoy your meal without feeling rushed or crowded. The prices at La Pizza are also very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and the overall dining experience. It’s definitely a hidden gem within Bankstown Sports Club and a place you shouldn’t miss if you’re a fan of Italian cuisine or just looking for a great night out.
It was a hit and miss experience at La Piazza. It is an extremely popular restaurant at Bankstown Sports Club. On a Saturday it can be between 30-45 minutes to get a table. Once seated you can saunter over the market type stalls to order or you can use a QR code to order. Given the huge crowds, the food service was impressive. We started off with the arancini and a bowl of calamari. The calamari was excellent. Crisp with a tender centre. It was delicious. The arancini on the other hand lacked impact. For $26 I expected more oomph and flavour. The pizza was generous with lots of chicken. The dough itself was average. Marinara was superb. Love the prawns and mussels. The real disappointment was the cotoletta. The crumb is thick and lacked seasoning, and the veal was overcooked. La Piazza is practical dining option in if you're hanging out at the club.
