A custom brass light fixture, and an assortment of wood, steel and leather tables and chairs, surround an open kitchen and an impressive wood-fired grill. The custom-made artwork covers the walls of this 100-year-old heritage-listed warehouse, marrying the raw structure with the chic elements of a New York restaurant, offering the ideal venue to wow your guests. In the kitchen, the Eastside team delivers a modern menu with influence from around the globe, and most notably, New York. We had an amazing experience. We enjoyed the 8 courses meal and we were amazed by all the different flavours, the presentation and the meat cooked to perfection. We were served by Santiago and he was friendly and so professional. We will definitely come back on our next trip to sydney and we'll recommend the place to everyone we can. Absolutely outstanding dining experience at Eastside Bar & Grill. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The chargrilled octopus was perfectly tender with just the right amount of smokiness, the Angus skewers were full of flavour, and the Wagyu rump was cooked to perfection — juicy, rich, and beautifully seasoned. The sides of broccolini and cos lettuce were fresh and balanced the meal perfectly. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the ambience — warm lighting, open kitchen, and modern brasserie feel — made it a perfect spot for a special night out. Highly recommend Eastside to anyone who appreciates quality produce and expert grilling. I’ll definitely be back.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely phenomenal experience! My partner and I visited Eastside Bar & Grill while staying in Sydney for a few days (we’re from Melbourne), and this place completely blew our minds! From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional – warm, professional, and attentive. The staff made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was also a standout – classy yet cozy, with a relaxed vibe that’s rare to find in a steakhouse. It felt high-end without being pretentious, which we loved. We ordered 3 mains and 4 sides, and every single dish exceeded our expectations. The highlights were: Tuna Tartare – fresh, balanced, and absolutely delicious. Smash Burger – a total sleeper hit! Packed with flavour, it really surprised us. Wagyu Striploin (9+ MBS) – possibly one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Cooked perfectly, beautifully seasoned, and unbelievably tender. We also tried the lobster mac and cheese (creamy and nice, but not a standout), kingfish ceviche (good, but not mind-blowing), and some classic starters like sourdough bread and olives, which were solid and well done. All in all, we had an incredible night and will definitely be back the next time we’re in Sydney – especially for that wagyu striploin, tuna tartare, and smash burger! Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for quality food, excellent service, and an atmosphere that just feels right.
Wagyu beef burger was nice with all condiments. Tuna tartare is asian flavoured so mixed liking between us. In duck and pears, the pears were almost raw. It would be nice to have some carbs on plate under duck pear and mushrooms to bring it together. Ambience and service are good.
The oysters were just okay, not the freshest, but honestly that can happen anywhere. The garden salad is so flavorful despite its simplicity. The broccolini was outstanding!! It gives you this smoky, packed with flavor experience and something I’d love to pair with fish next time. The wagyu skewers were absolutely to die for, we loved them so much we ordered a second round. Perfectly cooked, rich, and full of flavor. The grilled octopus was another highlight, it’s so tender and beautifully complemented by the sauce. The scotch fillet was solid too, cooked well and very enjoyable. They also give you the dinner plate hot and nice. Overall, the food, service, and pricing make this place a real gem. Their prices are competitive for the quality of food and service you get. I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable meal.
