Very nice hotel with great master chief menu. All foods are great and really make it too hard choose the best food. Very different options for drinks and beers. Nice staff. Highly recommended. Its our great spot to change mood and feel better.
My boyfriend and I visited The Nags Head on Sunday at 5PM for a roast dinner, and unfortunately it was quite disappointing. While the lamb, chicken, and roast potatoes were lovely, the carrots and broccoli were rock hard, and courgette was oddly included, not something you’d expect on a traditional English roast. The chicken also had pesto on it, which didn’t really make sense. The gravy portion was tiny, and even after asking for more (which I was happy to pay for), it was just another small pot, so I didn’t bother asking again. We then ordered espresso martinis, but were told the coffee machine was off and they could only serve premixed ones, which at $44 were really poor quality and had to be sent back, something I hate doing. That said, the staff were all really lovely and seemed very busy, which we appreciated, it’s just a shame the food and drinks didn’t match the service.
I had the fried chicken burger for my lunch and it was delicious with just the right hint of spice. The portion size was generous, and the chips were great too. Chef Jane was absolutely lovely, and Ali behind the bar was super friendly—great service all around!
This is the perfect meet up spot. I went for the weekend roast and loved it. They even serve it with Yorkshire pudding. Great prices too
Decent food, but don’t expect it to be a true English pub despite the name. The ‘roasts’ are great but they’re not the sort of roasts you’d get back in the UK. But it’s overall a great pub, and the best part is grabbing a seat outside on a sunny day, it’s really lovely. Big plus: they’re dog-friendly!
