5 Stars – A Truly Pet-Friendly Hotel with Stunning Views I’ve stayed at many pet-friendly hotels in Sydney with my dog, and View Sydney is by far my favorite for two reasons: the breathtaking views and their genuine pet-friendly approach. The hotel offers two pet-friendly room types: Skyline and Harbour Bridge View Room. I booked the latter and was assigned a room on the third floor. They provide two pet packages, priced at $120 and $50. Since I checked in late, the restaurant kitchen was already closed, so I didn’t get to try their dinner, but they do have a bar and an outdoor dining area with beautiful views. Considering this hotel isn’t expensive at all, I got what I paid for, and I wasn’t expecting 5 star facility. The room’s view was absolutely stunning—completely different vibes at night and in the morning. Breakfast was plentiful with a great variety of options. Service from the front desk to the restaurant was excellent, and even the other guests were very friendly toward my dog. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back! One thing to mention: when calling a uber, don’t pin “blue st” or “view Sydney” as the driver would drive to the back door, better ask reception what address to pin on.
From the moment i stepped into this hotel, nothing but great hospitality and service. The head chef offered to still make me lunch even though i got there a few minutes after closing time. Thomas was very generous and delightful to talk with. All staff were also very approachable and pleasant. The view is quite literally worth the price and id happily come here again. I probably shouldn't talk about this place so highly or ill never be able to book here again because it will become so popular!
I was quite disappointed with my stay at this hotel. While the location offered a good view, the window was so dirty that it completely ruined the experience. The building itself is very old and in need of serious renovations. On top of that, there was a loud noise throughout the night, seemingly from the air conditioning, making it difficult to sleep. For the price I paid, I expected a much better experience—there are more modern and well-maintained hotels available for the same cost. I wouldn’t stay here again.
Stayed here for our wedding anniversary and had an amazing experience. We were welcomed to the room with sparkling wine and a beautiful personal note. The room itself was small, however had unobstructed views of the harbour bridge (as promised). The breakfast service was good too, with different continental options (eggs (poached / scrambled), bacon, sausages, baked beans, toast, cereals', fruit etc.) The only downside being the constant vibrations every 10 mins or so, with the trains below us (I'm assuming you would feel this more if you stayed on the lower levels), however nothing the property can do about this. Overall a memorable experience!
I would have given this hotel 5 stars if it weren't for a very simple problem. The pillows are absolutely awful. They're humongous and extremely uncomfortable. I could not sleep even after I only had 3 hours of sleep the night before. It got so bad, I had to call hotel staff for help and they were all extremely kind and helpful and agreed the pillows are ridiculous. So for anyone staying at the view, please remember there are spare pillows in the cupboards because the one on the beds are made to potentially injure you. Staff are extremely kind and helpful which is lovely. Breakfast is 100% worth it and amongst the best I've had, so if you're thinking about it I would recommend booking it through the website. Location is good, but not a fan of how you have to walk up a ramp to get to the entrance where you could be on a cars blind spot. Unfortunately the trains do make a lot of noise
