Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort features a range of one, two and three-bedroom villas featuring kitchen/kitchenette facilities, spacious living areas and private balconies allowing freedom for independent travellers to design their own ways to stay. Our Premier Villas reflect the four-star level of accommodation with stunning views of the Australian bush. Standard Villas are yet to be refurbished and discounted to offer the best value proposition in the Hunter Valley.
The full-service resort provides 24-hour reception, family dining options, smart dining, the main bar, boutique whiskey bar, a variety of swimming pools, tennis courts and a golf pro shop. Terraced into the natural bushland surroundings are the villa accommodation, providing guests with extraordinary views over the golf course fairways, Broken Back Range and the resorts own vineyards. Lucky guests are treated to a morning visit from the resident kangaroos, kookaburras and koalas in the private accommodation setting.
A wide range of event spaces is available, with spaces for 14 to 500 people across the Resort. A dedicated Conference, Wedding and Events team are available 7 days to service all events. Our unique facilities include:

I recently stayed at Cypress Lakes Resort with my girlfriends, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. When I went to reception to request tea and coffee for our room, I was informed that, because we had booked through Booking.com, we were not entitled to these amenities. Even after offering to pay, the request was denied, which was frustrating and unexpected. Additionally, the room lacked clear instructions on how to order food or beverages, and we encountered a non-functioning dishwasher. Communication from the staff was largely unhelpful, and at times, quite rude, with no satisfactory explanations provided. One staff member at the bar showed some empathy, but overall, we felt overlooked. Despite eventually paying for the tea and coffee, the process was unnecessarily difficult. We had also booked and paid for a room for five adults, but found the amenities lacking, and our rooms were not refreshed during the day, which further added to our disappointment
Loved our stay. Very clean modern facilities and accommodation. We had a three bedroom villa which was so nice. All the rooms were quite spacious. A couple of odd things like a few lights being broken but we survived. It's on the side of a pretty steep hill, maybe not for older people. Highly Recommend!
My recent stay at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort, which was arranged through luxury escapes , proved to be a significant disappointment due to the substandard accommodations and a notable lack of attention from the management team. The room we booked was a Two Bedroom Premier Villa. The room we were assigned did not align with the expectations set by the photos on their website, showing clear signs of wear and tear, unclean surfaces, and a lingering musty odor throughout our stay. Moreover, the malfunctioning fridge resulted in the spoilage of my baby's important medications. When I brought this issue to their attention, they displayed a lack of empathy or concern, simply stating that fridges break. To our dismay, we uncovered a pest infestation in the bathroom, prompting valid concerns about hygiene and safety. My baby also picked up a waxed rat poison that was in the bathroom. Despite reporting these issues to the staff and management, our complaints were met with indifference and a disappointing lack of urgency in addressing them. Although the management assured us that they would promptly address the situation, our concerns remained unresolved, leaving us feeling overlooked and undervalued as guests. The lack of accountability and customer service demonstrated by the management team tarnished what could have been an enjoyable stay at a respected resort. Official complaints have been lodged with both the resort management and luxury escapes, urging them to promptly address these critical issues. It is disheartening to see such potential overshadowed by inadequate facilities and a failure to prioritize guest satisfaction. Until these fundamental issues are effectively addressed, I would caution against considering Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort for your next trip, as guests deserve better treatment and a higher standard of service.
I booked in for a birthday weekend. The place looked nice, desk staff were helpful and check in was a breeze. The main restaurant was booked with a private event so we ate at the general eatery downstairs. The dinner was very nice. I had noticed in the room earlier that there were several pockets in the room that had an ant infestation. Mostly dead but a lot still crawling around. There were also ants crawling on our bed. After dinner I asked the desk staff if they could have someone check on the ant problem and clean up the dead ants everywhere sometime the next day as we will be out all day. They offered a can of ant spray which I declined as I noticed the room already had some and I was assured that someone would take care of it. The next morning, we went to the restaurant for breakfast and was a bit disappointed with the breakfast buffet. Just the basics you would see at any all you can eat place. We tried to get a coffee and they had this industrial size Nespresso-like machine that it appeared no one knew how to work it and there was a long queue of people waiting for people to figure it out. They had a huge coffee percolator on the table so we thought we would try to get some black coffee out of it but it was just hot water. Our breakfast was cold at this stage so we just got some juice. When we returned the from our outing that day, no one had been in to check the ant problem. We had a big day and instead of going out for dinner we decided to order in. We were told the order would take about a half hour and we watched a movie while we waited. An hour and a half later still no food. I called the front desk and received a few different excuses from the person tried to deliver and waited around for a while. We certainly didn't hear anyone. We heard a knock on the neighbour's door and went to check but it wasn't for us. Then they tried to blame their crappy phone system which was mid upgrade. We heard them very clearly when we spoke to them and they acknowledged is. They offered to make another order but we declined thinking the same would happen again and just snacked on what we had in the room.
5 star customer service from Rachael at the front desk. ✨️ We had several issues while we stayed, but she turned it around every time. Rachael went above and beyond in ensuring all our concerns were resolved in a timely and professional manner. Steph at the front desk was also excellent, as was Bailey during our breakfast service. Such friendly and helpful staff with exceptional customer service who greeted us with a friendly smile every time! Thank you for helping us have a fantastic stay at The Oaks regardless of the issues we had.
