Probably the best place I’ve stayed in Australia. Right in the heart of the Hunter valley. Great swimming pool and jacuzzi area. Lovely outdoor space overlooking grounds with wild kangaroos. Several fire pits to sit by when cooler outside too which was a really nice touch. Rooms very clean and done to a very high standard. Will definitely be back!
Was a beautiful place to go to for friends wedding. Looking north east west or south the views where amazing and as the sun sets the places becomes magical with the glow from the setting sun and the mountains. Food was good for the reception drinks was great. Had a few issues for the night before and they tried their best to help and provide a back up for things.
This is a great location to anchor to fully experience the Hunter Valley. The garden suite (ground floor) are a little dated but very clean, spacious (except bathroom) and all the mod - cons. It is a little dated but well maintained. The common areas are excellent and consistent with the local homestead/winery theme. I would recommend a stay for 2-3 nights.
Outstanding Location & Venue, very impressed. We were a large group there attending for business and sometimes service & food aren't up to higher standards but in this case, everything was top notch. Would go back in the heartbeat, for personal or business reasons. Highly recommend!
While this hotel is one of the better accommodation options in the Hunter Valley and offers a great location, we found that it fell short in several key areas. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, and the overall atmosphere lacked warmth—staff interactions felt purely transactional rather than welcoming. Additionally, despite asking about dietary requirements prior to our stay, the welcome gift we received did not take these into account. It’s a decent choice for the area, but there’s definitely room for improvement when it comes to guest comfort and personalised service.
