Found this motel on google maps. Looked a nice location which it was. Found a superior room that included breakfast and daily room clean, so booked. On arrival, they stated it did not include breakfast. They offered breakfast at $20 each rather than the usual $25. We did not take them up on their offer. I was not going to pay for something twice. The next day we hung the Please Clean My Room sign on the door handle. Returning later to find the room was not cleaned. When asking at reception it was stated they don't clean on weekends or public holidays. This was not what was stated on the booking site. Now as for that, one might think that external booking sites might get it wrong. In this case it was their own booking site, Choice Privileges. I even joined to get better service and a discount, though the result was overpriced in the circumstances and very disappointed that I did not receive what I paid for. Oh, and if you thought cleaning the room only after one night was not an issue, there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom so was very steamy and towels did not dry. We had to collect some more from reception as we had already placed the wet ones on the floor expecting the room to be serviced.
I recently booked a room for a one night stay (07/11/2025) for a roadtrip we were undertaking. The Tuesday prior to the trip I injured my back in a workplace incident.Because of the injury I was unable to travel. I contacted booking.com to cancel the accommodation. Booking.com contacted Comfort Resort management with a short statement I wrote asking for consideration of a cancellation. This was refused. I understand that they were probably adhering to their policy, but this is poor business. I assured the accommodation I would use them when I was OK to travel! Now for the sake of $200, I or anyone I know will not even consider their establishment. The next accommodation I was staying at was more than happy to provide a 12 month credit, which is good business and very much appreciated.
We dined here last night (not staying on premises). Fresh barramundi fillets with veggies (of your own choice) and crispy salmon with vegies. All beautifully cooked and presented. The staff were particularly helpful and attentive (especially the waiter on the night of the 3/11 ( didn’t get his name). Highly recommend.
My wife and I have been to this hotel se eral times each year for a few years now and have generally been happy. The location is great, many of the rooms have been renovated and the barman is very friendly, unlike the rest of the staff. On our last two visits we have been allocated upstairs rooms and there is no lift. We are both getting on in years and don't find it easy to lug our bags up tje stairs. Consequently on this latest occassion we booked and paid for a downstairs room. This was confirmed by email. We arrived to find that our original designated room had been crossed out and replaced with an upstairs unrenovated room. My wife approached reception and queried and objected to the change. The receptionists response was essentially "Too bad, we're booked out." My wife asked to speak to the manager but was told that he had gone home. My wife then asked the receptionist to call him and ask him to call my wife. He did not. We booked and paid for a service we did not receive and that is simply unacceptable.
