I had an awesome Birthday weekend break with my pups in a pet friendly room. The room and all facilities were great. The restaurants and casual dining area were great and so was the food. The visit to the spa was lovely and the walks around the resort and region were beautiful. The lovely warm spring weather enhanced the visit with all the local trees and plants sprouting early flowers. The local town centre in Leura wasn't far from the resort and had the local shops had something for everyone. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. I wish I could have stayed longer.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay in one of the 2 Pet Friendly Rooms with our 2 small dogs at the Fairmont Resort. The room was comfortable with an external courtyard. The courtyard led directly to beautifully appointed gardens and parkland. Whilst we could not take the dogs into the bars and restaurants, there is a large area adjacent to reception and the bars and restaurants where we could sit comfortably with our pets. As a Platinum Accor member, I was delighted to receive a call the morning of our stay advising me of the very convenient car park exclusively for our use. The basket full of welcome amenities were also impressive and much appreciated. Without exception the staff were very welcoming and friendly and greatly added to a very enjoyable few days.
Great location, close to bush walks. Wouldn’t recommend if you were looking for a couple getaway, we stayed Sunday - Tuesday (we left a day earlier) kids are everywhere, pool and spa crowded with kids. Walls are thin. Our room was ready for check in, however no towels or bin liners they apologised and said they sometimes forget, couldn’t book in massages as we couldn’t get in touch we tried for 2 days or they were closed when we walked over. Golf was very enjoyable and lovely staff.
Unfortunately not the experience I was looking for. Giving it 3 stars because the location is great for visiting the Blue Mountains, and the price was decent, but to be clear it's really far off 4-star quality. No help whatsoever for parking or luggage already makes check-in a hassle. The whole place is run down and outdated - probably had its best years in the 80s with no discernible modernisation since then. The pool is tiny (too short for lap swimming) and gets crowded with families. Only plus is the rooms were decently clean but the same can't be said for public areas especially on floor 2 where everyone is going to and from the pool. Might be decent for families but I was hoping for something quieter and more elevated as befits a 4-star rated resort.
The service here is exceptional. Staff really have their heart in doing the best experience even when they are busy. We had a king deluxe room with views over the lake, and it was worth the extra. I loved the Whisky bar and would go back for this alone. Great music, wonderful ambience, and a cocktail bartender who made every cocktail an art form. Highly recommend. An added bonus is the artwork, paintings and sculptures.
