We stayed here for 4 nights. Our first 2 nights we were in a room that was very noisy. Maxine could not assist us enough. What a beautiful person. She ensured that we were promptly moved into a new room and provided with complimentary breakfast for the remainder of our stay. Hotel is close to everything history. Highly recommend a stay here. All staff were lovely
Heritage building, so it shows some marks of its age. Comfortable room with large bed. Air conditioning is good. Shower is very powerful and can be very hot if you want. Front bar, and downstairs bar/restaurant. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Location - 10/10. Vibe - 10/10 Bed comfort - 9/10 Breakfast - 8/10 (was delicious, but took a long time and was a bit expensive) Staff super friendly and helpful - 10/10 The outdoor garden - 10/10 Downsides: - No elevator, so lots of stairs. Would not suit someone with physical issues. They do have a suitcase lift though. - Neither our bathroom door or main room door closed without giving it a good shove and the bathroom door was so hard to open (room 213) - Bathrooms are due for an update, but are functional. - The blinds are not block out, so we were wide awake at 5/5:30 with the sun beaming in. Block out curtains on a track from the ceiling would make all the difference. - Questionable marks on the lounge chair. 😬 - The room was super dusty on arrival, but had been cleaned well after the first night. We would stay here again and would recommend this place to others.
Beautiful outdoor area and bar although We were charged $16 per beer for Stone & Wood which we ordered as the only tap option. A second bartender later revealed the tap was broken and they only had bottles, confirming we were charged a draught price for bottled beer. Disappointing lack of transparency for an expensive hotel bar in The Rocks.
one of my favourite hotels i’ve ever stayed at!! we went in 2023 and the rooms were so comfy, the location is perfect for getting anywhere in the city centre and the staff were so wonderful too! all round an absolutely amazing experience ❤️
