We completed our stay today it was fabulous! I literally have nothing negative to say . Meagan and Marcos at check in were so professional and attentive. Their recommendations were on point for our questions . The concierge’s were both great. They gave us recommendations and a map. Our room could not be beat . The hotel does not have an unobstructed view of the opera house but that’s not their fault .The views were amazing . And no, no one paid me to say any of this. I would return in a heartbeat. The location was walkable to tourist attractions. Some gentle hills which were a little issue for me . Even the room service was good . I had salmon grilled. Great experience and highlight of our trip .
We were greeted by Anna at the reception desk. It was very early in the morning. We had requested a real early check-in if rooms were available as we arrived early. Anna told us that there was a room available and she helped us with that. She was very patient in answering many of our questions as this was our first visit to the city. The rooms were clean, comfortable and nice the pool was very nice as well. The accommodations were nice. The breakfast was really good with lots of options. Anna even had a bottle of wine delivered to our room. When we check in she asked if there was a special reason we were visiting and we told her it was our 40th wedding anniversary. The rest of the staff was very accommodating, including the morning we left for the airport. We called an Uber and the help hotel staff helped us with that again special shout out to Anna.
I have had the fortune of again staying at the hotel several times over the last few weeks since arriving once again in Sydney - and I'm writing this from my room on my third stay this trip which indicates how much I love it here! Where to start? From the moment I came through the doors from the airport the team made me feel as if I was at home, and each visit has been the same. Prior to arrival I had a cancelled flight which meant I was going to be a no show on my first night but the night manager ensured the rest of my reservation was not cancelled and that I would not have any issues on arrival. All done in minutes via email on the move! Eddie is such an asset to the hotel and a great first impression for guests. Each time I see him during my stays I receive a genuine hello by name – a truly amazing feat given the number of guests he sees every day and throughout the year! Always striving to go above and beyond. Next stop reception, Tracy and Marcos are so friendly and professional a truly asset to the hotel in a constantly busy area. Not to forget Gavin who always has a smile and a great addition to the team especially during busy periods when there is a wait at check-in. The team in the Club Lounge are all great but Jin, Tiffany, Katie Gwynne and Maureen stand out for the great service, always making sure I am beyond looked after and that there is nothing I need due to being unable to climb the stairs in the Club Lounge. They also are always so calm, caring, genuine and professional which is fantastic given how busy the Club constantly is. One of my stays has been for my elderly mother’s birthday and it was her choice to return to the hotel as she had had such a lovely last visit (when we were there in May) and wanted an “easy” birthday. The team above all made sure she had a lovely stay and a fantastic birthday, our “thank yous” were really heartfelt and her little cake and bottle of bubbles was the “icing on the cake” for her. And finally, Evelyne in the bar was as welcoming as always despite the bar being busy even when I finally caught up with her on a Tuesday afternoon. The hotel is going from strength to strength and still the only place we will stay in Sydney and the location is just an added bonus.
Loved my stay. Prime location! Room was spacious, clean, comfortable bed, great shower! (Love the Byredo products). Had a lovely view of botanical gardens, which was a bonus, as I booked a basic room. Check-in, and out, super quick, and easy. Staff are so helpful. Room service food was great, and I really enjoyed drinks in the ground floor lounge. Hard to stay anywhere else now.
We have stayed at IC Sydney several times and it never disappoints. The staff are professional, helpful and polite they make the stay pleasurable. The hotel is very well positioned with fantastic harbour views. My only criticism is the rooms with views would benefit from two chairs facing the view not one and a window seat facing in toward the room. Finally the buffet breakfast is a must.
