Fantastic location for our stay exploring the harbour and surrounds, near the station and plenty to see and do (botanical gardens, Luna park, museums) during the holidays. Our corner suite was well appointed however had an issue with cleanliness but the hotel team were very quick to put this right. Beautiful beds and blackout blinds, and we had all we needed for a few nights, along with incredible options for room service. The bathroom was stunning and as a family, the layout was perfect to provide for privacy and a feeling of space which isn’t always readily achievable in a hotel. Also noted it was a very quiet space, which may be due to the layout and long hallway, but it’s exactly what we seek on our adventures. We’re looking forward to coming back already! ❤️

The Intercontinental Sydney boasts the high standard of hotel and amenities one expects from the Intercontinental chain. The rooms are well-appointed, clean and comfortable, and the facilities, including the gym and dining options, are top-notch. However, the service during my stay was noticeably below the usual Intercontinental standard. Our room had dirty glassware and the staff, while polite, were not as attentive as I have experienced at other Intercontinental locations. On a positive note, the hotel’s location is incredibly convenient, situated right in the CBD and close to Circular Quay, making it easy to explore the city. Overall, a pleasant stay but with some service issues that need addressing to meet the chain’s usual high standard.

We stayed at the harbour view room for a week and it was a treat waking up to the amazing view every morning and watching sunsets from our room. Location is fantastic - within walking distance to attractions like The Rocks and Sydney Opera House and also within walking distance to public transport options (buses / trams / trains) connecting to areas like Bondi Beach and Surrey Hills. There is a good spread available at the hotel breakfast, but variety of hot options can be improved on. Our favourite hotel in Sydney. We will be back!

Rooms are large and spacious. Service is great. Very smart building with a good in house restaurant. The gym on the roof is good. Bathrooms could be better designed. Door and bathroom door knock into each other, shower splatters water. onto the floor Harbour view side is significantly better than the city view rooms.

Overall, a really good hotel. Excellent location and the room was fabulous. Buffet breakfast was fantastic as well and had all the breakfast food and drink items you could think of! However, the service is average. We got room serve which took 90 minutes to come to our room. Yes I get it is busy with Vivid on however it shouldn’t take 90 minutes or they should notify us! We also got a call at 7:30am while we were sleeping that someone was coming to our room as they gave someone the wrong key so we had to tell them to go back to reception as they were given the wrong room. It was sorted out well by the hotel manager though.
