Weekend away from Sydney so only a 90 minute drive. Spent it playing golf, tennis, snooker & heading into Bowral to look around. The hotel itself - rooms , tennis court etc are old & tired but the grounds, the vibe ( huge separate lounges with fires & comfy chairs) and the staff are fantastic.

This hotel is set in a beautiful garden. In spring when we visited the garden was full of blossoms. Lots of rabbits and bunnies can be seen all through out the grounds. The breakfast buffet was sensational and the bircher muesli was top notch.

Please be prepared to climb a lot of stairs at this property. Our room - 308 - was up multiple flights of stairs which is not fun with luggage, or for those who are not necessarily physically capable. I think if we had known this in advance we would have stayed elsewhere. It is certainly not an "accessible" hotel. The room we were given had an adjoining door to the room next door, that provides zero sound proofing. It meant that the early (and somewhat loud) risers in the room next door woke us up every morning, which meant no holiday sleep in for us. The sound proofing in this old building isn't great, if your neighbour snores, you'll hear it. The hall ways are dingy and in dire need of a refresh. The common area lounge rooms off reception are lovely, sitting by the fire was very relaxing. The breakfast buffet was great as well, although arriving to breakfast at 9.50am on a Sunday, most of the tables still had dirty plates at them meaning the nicer tables by the windows were not available without having to do some clearing - it would be good if the staff were more on top of this, clearing tables as soon as guests leave the dining room. The view over the golf course is lovely, as are the gardens and outdoor sitting areas... but overall, I was disappointed in this Peppers property. We booked via Luxury Escapes - would certainly not describe this as a "luxury" property.

This is a great place to go in the Southern Highlands. We absolutely love the place and have been there several times. There is an amazing golf course attached to it and it’s a great pastime while at the hotel. The only problem is that the rooms are very small and the walls paper thin and you can hear everything going on in the next room. So not ideal. A big shout out to the receptionist Robert, who was just amazing with everything we needed. I lost a visor and he found it for me and personally brought it back to my room, we ordered some snacks for the room with another female receptionist who just never brought up our order but when we called Robert he brought the snacks in the speed of light. He helped us with our golf equipment and what not, he basically holds that reception and the hotel single handedly. So overall a great experience and we will be back.

Stayed here for a work seminar. My room was on the ground level facing the car park, which was not too bad. It's very quiet anyway. Room was OK. Good bed, strong WiFi, mini bar and a small tv and sofa. The bathroom was very small though. Breakfast was included in our rate, and it was nice. Usual breakfast style and additional items to order. They served us lunch as part of the seminar and every day it was different with a great variety of dishes. We also had dinner some nights, which is a la carte. All dishes were amazing. Service was friendly. The lounge area is a nice place to hang out. There are multiple areas and fireplaces all around, which makes it very cozy especially in winter or colder days. Bowral town is a short drive away. The hotel offers sports like golf and also has a (very bad) tennis court. Really nice place in a nice part of the world. It's cosy and well looked after. But it is an old property so if you look for fancy luxury this may not it. But even if you don't stay here, make sure you book in for dinner!
