Great location in the State Theatre, although almost missed it walking past. Great decor with the movie theatre aesthetic. Booked through luxury escapes with a bunch of upgrades and benefits. The rooms are spacious and clean, very modern. Close enough to a bunch of sights and restaurants, we walked pretty much everywhere and caught the train when needed. The bar on level 1 and restaurant on ground level were great too
I want to give a huge thank you to Andrew at reception who went above and beyond to make my stay so comfortable. After a long day, I was really looking forward to a relaxing bath. Andrew not only made sure I had the perfect room but even surprised me with a bath bomb. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine care completely made my stay. He is a true credit to the hotel!
We were very much looking forward to staying here due to the good reviews, unfortunately had a very disappointing 3 night stay at QT Hotel recently. I usually never leave negative reviews but was left very upset with the treatment we had from several staff who we found not welcoming and inattentive. On several occasions we were hardly acknowledged by the front desk staff. On 2 days our rooms were not cleaned when we were out in the morning so I called the staff to get someone to come in to clean the room. On the second day after the call it was still not cleaned, so I went down to reception around 4pm to ask for some towels instead as it was getting too late. At the counter 2 staff looked at each other and no one asked what I needed, and so I went to the closest person and asked for help with this and she was not friendly at all. No hi, bye, sorry, how can I help... Also, on the first day after checking in and heading to the room to rest we had a knock on the door and assumed it was the hotel staff. It ended up being the person who stayed in the room the night before. She had eaten some of the food in the mini bar and wanted to replace it so she wouldn't be charged. Surely there should be something in place to prevent people not staying in the hotel to access the rooms for security and safety reasons, I felt this was quite unacceptable. We travelled with a toddler which we had stated in our reservations didn't find it to be very child friendly. In the room there was a low table with 2 glasses and alcohol bottles on it, which my son grabbed as soon as he entered but I was quick enough to get it off him. The best thing about the hotel is the central location, close to trains, shops and Sydney attractions. The breakfast and serving staff were also lovely. Unfortunately I won't be returning or recommending this hotel due to our poor interactions with some of the staff and service not fit for a 5 star hotel.
Outstanding Service and Accessibility at QT Sydney I recently stayed at QT Sydney, next to the State Theatre, while accompanying my friend who uses a wheelchair due to OI. From the moment we arrived, every staff member — from concierge to bar — was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. The hotel itself has a modern, youthful vibe, yet the service was thoughtful and inclusive. We were given a fully accessible room, and nothing was too much trouble. The team went out of their way to ensure our comfort, which made a big difference to our experience. A huge thank you to the wonderful staff — your kindness and professionalism truly set this hotel apart.
We stayed here for my son's 10th birthday - it was incredible. Weirdly, they called us before we got there to ask what my son would like for his birthday for a gift, I was so appreciative and grateful for the call and the thought. I told them something small - like Pokemon or something - again - so grateful. When we got there, there was a card, which was lovely, but no gift. I'm glad I didn't mention anything to him. Everything else was amazing. Seriously - brilliant, and very comfortable and special.
