Tap Gallery
Sydney's Tap Gallery has been a part of the city's art community for almost three decades. Founded in 1989, Tap operates primarily as a gallery space, moonlighting as a performance space, a private function venue, a drawing class, and place for the community to gather. As a function space, Tap Gallery has hosted birthdays, hens nights (complemented perfectly by a life drawing class), art lectures, dinners, and other social events. It exudes all of the minimalist style you'd expect from a gallery: white walls, wooden floors, a versatile floor plan. And of course, the space can also accommodate performances and more off-kilter events. Tap Gallery also offers Studio 259 – a separate studio space perfect for film and photo shoots, and other private functions.
