Tapavino Sydney is dedicated to Spanish wines. “Not because we don’t like Aussie wines”, they’re quick to add. It’s just that Spanish culture happens to be the focus here. Namely, the “sip a little... eat a little” Spanish dining culture. That, and the most unlikely of Spanish (fortified) wines... sherry. Just about every other alcoholic beverage imaginable has a small bar dedicated to its existence, why not sherry? Tapavino does the drink justice - there are some intriguing (and delicious) cocktails to sample, and to complement the many and varied tapas available. It’s not just a sherry wonderland here - Spanish wine in all its forms is celebrated here. At the wine bar, try different Spanish drink options by the glass, or buy a bottle to share. If it’s food you’re after, there’s an impressive range of Spanish-style dishes available small and large. Tapavino is open for lunch and dinner. Also, here’s a hot tip: try the dulce de leche dessert. Tapavino is a two-level affair. The ground floor is an open house, for the walk-ins. Upstairs though, is for bookings and larger groups. It also is available as a function venue. Tapavino is found on Bulletin Place, which is just off the Circular Quay end of Pitt Street. That means that it’s a couple of minutes away from Circular Quay train station, as well as a slew of ferries.
