The Argyle is something of a nightlife wonderland, in a uniquely historic, definitely beautiful setting. By that we mean, it’s located in the Rocks, within a setting that boasts no less than five different bars, including a cobblestoned courtyard.Hold the phones - there are in fact five different spaces within The Argyle. Each has its own unique character, theme, and speed. There’s a moodily lit, gorgeous space for dining, having a proper (high quality) meal surrounded by wooden rafters, exposed beams, and intimate booths. Then, there’s a sleek, urbane space for enjoying a cocktail with friends, before hitting the party zone on the weekend. Or you could spend a summer evening with the work crew, enjoying a beer in the courtyard. There’s also a space for dumplings, natch. The Argyle is found, surprisingly enough, on Argyle Street (near the corner of Harrington Street) in the Rocks - one of Sydney’s most historic and picturesque suburbs. With that address, you’ll be well placed to stroll your way to a host of Sydney’s best spots. Not that you’ll want to, given the range of spaces and adventures you could have at your first location.

A group of four of us went on a Tuesday night. The ambiance was great with color and space. They had couch seating and high tables and some great spots to take pictures. They had a special going for the fishbowl’s so we ordered the Long Island Iced Tea for the group. It was just ok, not sure if it even had booze in it. Was more of just a sugar drink. We got lucky because we were able to play trivia. For being from another country I think we did pretty well for the questions they asked. We won a few drink vouchers but ended up getting second in the end. Was fun though. We didn’t eat there but I will say the food coming out looked pretty tasty. A little pricey but I’m sure it’s worth it. I would recommend trying “the Argyle” out at least once on your visit to Sydney.

Called in to celebrate St Patrick's day festivities whilst in Sydney. The place was buzzing. Full of folks partying and having fun. We ate also, the pizzas were delicious! Great pint of Guinness, as it was flowing! The queues for the bar were ridiculous! Deffo needed more staff serving. The average wait was 15-20 minutes! Crazy!

It's a place for teenagers and you always see people standing outside of pub in a queue however it is empty inside. Very over rated. So if u love loud music just want to get drunk and high and you are a teenager or in your 20s yes definitely you should try this place.

Fantastic spot to enjoy a drink with friends and coworkers. While the food is being served, you retrieve your drinks from the counter where you placed your order.
