The Lobo Plantation
It's all about the rum at Lobo Plantation, with a collection of more than 250 bottles dating back as far as 1930. And, in the great tradition of rum bars, cocktails are delicious and cleverly named. This is a bar to while away a few hours, with squashy banquette seating and comfort food like empanadas and Cuban sandwiches on offer to soak up all the grog. The Lobo is one of the coolest places to eat and drink in Sydney. Inspired by Julio Lobo, the last Cuban sugar baron, we are a stylish and charming bar that is all about rum, good vibes, high-quality cocktails, and moreish small bites inspired by Cuban, Central American and South American cuisines. Tucked away on Clarence Street in the CBD, you’ll find The Lobo located in a basement, reached via heavy wooden doors, followed by a curved staircase. Our cocktails are here are all creative, fresh and mostly rum-based. Our rum selection is 300-bottles strong and the menu goes perfectly alongside. If all this sounds up your alley, grab your crew and head to The Lobo. It’s a cosy and intimate spot though, so reservations are recommended to avoid disappointment. It is also available for exclusive hire, with a capacity of 100 pax.
