Timbah is the sort of neighbourhood wine bar that makes you wish you lived in Glebe. For that’s where Timbah is located, and where you’ll have to trek to in order to take in its mightily good vibes. Owned by a guy named Tim (get it?), Timbah is a friendly sort of local fixture, for dropping by on your way home from work, or for whiling away an entire evening with friends. The wine list’s worth checking out all on its own, which is probably a good sign when a wine bar’s concerned. Every night’s a little different though, with eight varieties being available by the glass at one time - eight of which are picked by punters at the beginning of the night.Timbah’s a spot for catching up with mates, pairing bar snacks with a killer glass of wine, and some consistently great tunes.Timbah is found along quiet, residential surrounds Glebe Point Road in Glebe, near the corner of Forsyth Street. Glebe light rail station is a short distance away, and the city CBD is about ten minutes away.
