Tranby
13 Mansfield St, Glebe NSW 2037, Australia
Would you like to hold your next event in a very special place of Aboriginal culture and history? Then you're in luck. Established in 1957, Tranby National Indigenous Adult Education & Training ('Tranby') is Australia’s oldest not-for-profit independent Indigenous education provider. Located in Glebe, Sydney, Tranby is a function of the Co-operative for Aborigines Limited and has been a pioneer in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adult education, training, and social action for decades. Tranby, as a nationally registered training organisation (RTO), offers units of competency, full VET qualifications, and non-accredited skill development initiatives to Indigenous adults from across Australia. Thousands of students have graduated from this iconic Indigenous organisation, and returned to their communities empowered with newfound skills and a drive for excellence and self-determination. Just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the CBD, Tranby is minutes away from the city with access by Light Rail and buses. There is some limited on-street parking. The team can recommend external caterers, or take a five minute stroll to the fun cafes on Glebe Point Road. Immerse yourself in culture and history, surrounded by beautiful Aboriginal artistic sculptures and historic photos in this historical building that's over 140 years. You’ll also enjoy the natural light and high ceilings, and access to lovely verandas and gardens.
