Doltone House hosted our Y10 formal on Friday night. It was a superb evening, the food and music were excellent and everything went smoothly. From the moment we enquired about an event, all through planning, right up to the day, the whole team was fantastic. So supportive, professional, and welcoming. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. There are many positive aspects to the venue, and it is evident that both the service and the food are excellent—all our guests had high praise. However, I believe it’s important to highlight the negative aspects as well to help future couples make an informed decision. We planned our entire wedding timeline based on the understanding that we would have access to the side garden for photos. Our guests were supposed to stay there for 30 minutes while we took our photos, and we even arranged our schedule to arrive early to make the most of that time. Unfortunately, on the wedding day itself, we were informed—only after we had already arrived—that we could not use the garden because another wedding would be using it. As a result, I was unable to take the photos I had planned with my bridal party in the garden, which was one of the key reasons we chose this venue. It also disrupted our schedule, as I couldn’t do the venue reveal as planned—by the time we were supposed to have that moment, all of our guests were already inside for the cocktail hour. Additionally, since we were only told at the last minute, it created a lot of confusion for the bridal party, who didn’t know where they were supposed to go. Because of this, I missed the opportunity to take pictures with certain people, as they weren’t sure where they should be at that time. I understand that the contract states that garden access is subject to availability, but what is the actual criterion for this? Up until the day before, we had confirmation that we could use it, yet I was never informed of any changes regarding its availability. Unfortunately, I can never redo these moments, but I hope this feedback helps future couples be better prepared and avoid missing important moments as I did. This was the only issue on my wedding day—everything else went exactly as planned.

We had our wedding at Doltone House Sylvania Waters (Chateau Reale) in January 2025 and had a wonderful time! Our guests commented on the service and food being excellent, and the staff were very attentive (e.g., a few missing seats had to be adjusted, which they did very quickly). I can't underscore how much the food was praised by everyone in attendance, as each course was delicious (something you don't always get with large catering operations). The canapés in Belfiore Gardens before the reception were also a hit. We are so grateful to the team at DHSW for making the night run so smoothly, which helped us be totally relaxed and enjoy the night :) Would certainly recommend!
