•Hibiscus Room is a stunning poolside restaurant and bar at Hyatt Regency Hotel, taking inspiration from the iconic restaurant of the same name that graced the top floors of Lennon's Hotel in the 1970's and 80's. First established in 1884, Lennons Hotel opened at the current Hyatt Regency Brisbane site on Queen Street in 1972, hosting world-renowned guests including Alexander Graham Bell, Sir Charles Kingsford-Smith, Dame Nellie Melba, President Lyndon B. Johnson and The Beatles. Located originally on levels 25-26, Hibiscus Room was the city's leading bar, dining, and musical venue. Throughout the 70’s and 80’s other venues could only be second best to the celebration and finesse of Hibiscus Room.

If you have written a bad review for this venue, you're too self involved to appreciate what a gem this place is. Can not fault this accommodation. The staff, every single one of them, was wonderful. They clearly enjoy what they do. Immaculately clean. Most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Room size and layout is perfect. Quiet. Seamless check in and out. We won't be staying anywhere else in Brisbane city. Simply perfect.
My daughters and I wanted somewhere close to the mall for a few days of shopping and sightseeing. The Hyatt was perfect! I joined as a Hyatt member for free online and made my booking directly with the Hotel. I was given an early check in, cheaper rate and a river/city room on a high floor. My check in was easy and my room was ready for the early check in. I got a package with buffet breakfast and the variety was great. All staff were friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back again in December.
loved my stay here. have rebooked. loved the pool area to relax in with live music and happy hour 4pm to 6pm. the breakfast buffet was ample. location is terrific, the room is a little small but I had a lovely river view. highly recommend staying here.
Great central location. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Everything is impeccably clean. The restaurant and bar were never ever crowded. The prices are very reasonable for food and drinks. The bathroom was excellent. (no tub in my room) but the shower was great and excellent water pressure.
Excellent hotel. Was here for two nights in the weekend as an interruption for a business trip. Hotel is in the middle of the city center. Ideal to do some shopping and sight seeing. Very nice room, good service, not too expensive in the minibar and roomservice. Excellent breakfast buffet. Also they gave me a free late check-out which saved my day. All in all nothing but kudos for the restaurant. One point of improvement was the restaurant in the hotel. Maybe it was Murphy’s law, but first I had to be reseated while the restaurant was far from full, then my drink took ages, then the order was wrong (no chicken on the salad) and then the chicken they brought was undercooked. The complementary fruit salad after this was amazing, so I tipped them anyway 😉 Overall the hotel is easily worth the 5 stars!
