Emporium Hotel South Bank combines award-winning style and service with exquisitely designed, bespoke events spaces. Located within the heart of Brisbane’s South Bank, the hotel can cater for meetings, conferences, social occasions and gala dinners, for up to 250 guests.
Located on Level 1, three state-of-the-art boardrooms provide exclusive meeting spaces with plasma screens, natural light and black out blinds, for 8, 10 or 16 guests respectively. Looking for something larger? The grand, pillarless Frangipani Ballroom features the latest audio-visual equipment, state of the art lighting system along with operable walls allowing for the space to be spilt into three separate rooms.

The Frangipani Ballroom
A truly unique and beautiful 410sqm space, the grand, pillarless Frangipani Ballroom features mirrored walls, a 4.3m ceiling, state-of-the-art lighting system with custom mapping, the very latest digital entertainment and audio-visual equipment, along with four projector screens, the largest of which is 5.7m wide. The Frangipani Ballroom has a cocktail capacity of 350 and a banquet capacity of 260. Operable walls provide smaller configurations of between 137sqm and 272sqm, for guest numbers between 150 and 300 for cocktail events, and from 80 to 170 for banquet events.
Frangipani – Sections One, Two, or Three
Frangipani – Sections One, Two, or Three are the individually divisible parts of the Frangipani Ballroom, a grand, pillar‑less event space with high ceilings and flexible layouts thanks to operable walls. Each section offers its own adaptable area that can be used on its own for events that need a more focused or intimate setting within the overall ballroom environment. These rooms are ideal for meetings, workshops, presentations, breakout sessions, or private dining experiences where you want a stylish and professional space without committing to the full ballroom. The contemporary design and amenities—including natural light, mirrored walls, and modern lighting—make each section suitable for both business and social occasions
Frangipani – Sections 1 & 2 or 2 & 3 (Combined)
The Frangipani – Sections 1 & 2 or 2 & 3 (Combined) refers to flexible portions of the larger Frangipani Ballroom, a grand, pillar‑less event space with high ceilings and modern lighting that can be adapted for a variety of functions. Operable walls allow these sections to be combined, giving you a versatile setting that can feel both spacious and tailored to your event’s needs.
These combined sections are ideal for larger meetings, workshops, presentations, or celebrations where you want an open, professional environment without committing to the full ballroom. The design and layout offer a refined backdrop with quality audiovisual capabilities, making it suitable for conferences, networking sessions, or formal social gatherings.
The Terrace
Located on the rooftop level, The Terrace exudes subtropical luxe with mature date palms and native landscaping. Features include a 2.5m x 5m LED digital television and operable roof that provides for all weather. Taking maximum advantage of its coveted north-easterly aspect and magnificent river/city/parkland views, The Terrace is perfect for day/night event options all year round. We are able to offer a reserved area (non exclusive use) for a cocktail style event of up to 80 guests.
Reserve Wine Bar
Exuding old-world glamour, The Reserve Wine Bar combines a modern nod to the speakeasies of the 1920s with vinous delight. Features include an extravagant wine wall and tasting table, lush furnishings, custom chandelier, backlit bar and a 5.4m projector screen. The Reserve Wine Bar welcomes events of 80 cocktail style.
Firma Italian
Firma Italian is a welcome sanctuary, instantly drawing you in with plush furnishings and a harmonious burnt-orange colour palette, while a 150-year-old stained glass window provides a whimsy hue.
Belle Epoque
Belle Époque is an elegant and intimate event space inspired by the golden age of Parisian design. The venue showcases the charm and sophistication of early‑1900s France, with stylish interiors and a refined atmosphere that makes every occasion memorable. The space is perfect for private dinners, celebrations, and cocktail events, offering a warm and elegant backdrop. Features like handcrafted interiors, mosaic flooring, and a bronze Champagne bar add to the luxurious feel, making Belle Époque a truly special setting for any gathering.
The Orchid Room
Located on the conference floor, the Orchid Room is one of three purpose build boardrooms seating 16-20 guests (maximum 16 capacity with executive chairs, maximum 20 capacity with standard banquet chairs). The boardrooms feature natural light, a fixed executive square table and chairs, espresso pod machine and tea facilities along with presentation systems.
The Wattle Room
Located on the conference floor, Wattle Room is one of three purpose build boardrooms seating 10 guests. The boardrooms feature natural light, a fixed executive boardroom table and chairs, an espresso pod machine, and tea facilities along with presentation systems.
The Jacaranda Room

We booked a night at the Emporium Hotel in South Bank to celebrate my birthday, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. To our surprise—and absolute delight—we were upgraded to a luxury suite in celebration of my birthday. It was such a thoughtful gesture and instantly set the tone for a memorable stay. The suite itself was stunning: spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with every comfort you could imagine. The attention to detail was exceptional, uxurious furnishings, a gorgeous bathroom, and breathtaking views that made the entire experience feel extra special. We were also greeted with a lovely birthday treat, which added an extra touch of hospitality, the personalised note wishing me a happy birthday was outstanding. Throughout our stay, the staff were so friendly and hospitable, and so welcoming. The hotel’s facilities were equally impressive. We especially loved the rooftop infinity pool and bar, which offered an incredible atmosphere and views over Brisbane. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of fresh options and excellent coffee. Overall, our stay at the Emporium Hotel was exceptional from start to finish. Being upgraded to a luxury suite made my birthday celebration feel even more special, and we’re so grateful for the thoughtful and personalised service.

I genuinely had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The valet team were exceptionally kind and truly stood out, always greeting us warmly and opening the car door each time for me. Our room was consistently immaculate upon our return, and any questions my partner or I had were met with a high level of professionalism and helpfulness. Great hotel. Got everything right, service wise, and with great views and a great pool. And particularly impressed by the great value minibar: I’ve never been to a hotel where I have a full bottle of wine in the minibar that costs not much more than I can buy for retail. Dangerous. Would definitely stay again.

Hands down my favourite hotel ever. My partner and I have stayed here twice now and it never fails to impress. The rooms are beautiful, room service is always great and the service is seriously top notch (thank you Nelson for all your help) Emporium had made Christmas such a special time for us. I loved the little chocolates provided and the stocking we found on our door on Christmas day! Thanks for the great stay as always :)
